ON DIFFRACTION BY A STRIP [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 1954
The problem of diffraction by an infinite strip or slit has been the subject of several investigations. There are at least two "exact" methods for attacking this problem. One of these is the integral equation method, the other the Fourier-Lame method.

Evaluation of Enamel Surfaces after Different Techniques of Interproximal Enamel Reduction

open access: yesJournal of Functional Biomaterials, 2023
According to the literature, interproximal enamel reduction (IER) has become a consolidated technique used in orthodontic treatments to gain space in particular situations such as dental crowding, non-extractive therapies, tooth-size discrepancies, and ...

Colorful Strips

open access: yesGraphs and Combinatorics, 2010
Given a planar point set and an integer $k$, we wish to color the points with $k$ colors so that any axis-aligned strip containing enough points contains all colors. The goal is to bound the necessary size of such a strip, as a function of $k$. We show that if the strip size is at least $2k{-}1$, such a coloring can always be found.

Studies on Cementation of Tin on Copper and Tin Stripping from Copper Substrate

open access: yesArchives of Metallurgy and Materials, 2016
Cementation of tin on copper in acid chloride-thiourea solutions leads to the formation of porous layers with a thickness dependent on the immersion time. The process occurs via Sn(II)-Cu(I) mechanism.

Focus Position for Stripping Remnant

open access: yesArbitrer, 2020
The current paper examines the syntactic properties of HA stripping: a type of ellipsis. Within the Minimalist framework, the paper adopts the PF-Deletion approach to show that stripping in HA is derived firstly by the movement of the remnant ...
