Nanomaterial‐Incorporated Nonlinear Optical Waveguides Explored With All‐Fiber Multiphoton Polymerization

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Nonlinear waveguides are fabricated via an all‐fiber‐based multiphoton polymerization approach incorporating upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs), which enable both multiphoton absorption at telecommunication wavelengths and nonlinear saturable absorption operation.

An efficient and transferable remote sensing spectral index for regional corn mapping

open access: yesScience of Remote Sensing
Accurate and timely corn mapping at regional scales supports effective agricultural management and policy development. However, traditional data-driven approaches rely heavily on extensive ground-truth samples and have limited applicability in data ...

Bismuth Nanogratings With Narrow Plasmon Resonances for Dynamic Polarized Color Generation and Colorimetric Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Bismuth nanogratings are fabricated by pulsed laser deposition onto the nanostructured silver and polycarbonate surfaces of DVDs. They display spectrally‐narrow plasmon resonances yielding vivid colors, which are strongly sensitive to the polarization of light, angle of incidence, nature of the underlying surface and of the surrounding medium (air or ...

On the Strong Chromatic Index of Sparse Graphs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The strong chromatic index of a graph G, denoted χ′s(G), is the least number of colors needed to edge-color G so that edges at distance at most two receive distinct colors.

From 3DGS scenes to plant traits: a scalable extraction and segmentation framework for muskmelon phenotyping

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science
Automated quantification of plant-level development from multi-plant greenhouse scenes requires separating individual plants from shared scene-level reconstructions and quantifying organ-level development, a challenge that single-plant acquisition ...

Intravital Multimodal Imaging of Human Cortical Organoid Transplantation in a Mouse Model of Chronic Stroke

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multimodal intravital imaging platform enables longitudinal tracking of human cortical organoids transplanted into chronic stroke lesions. By combining surgical microscopy, MRI, bioluminescence imaging, and two‐photon fluorescence microscopy, the platform captures graft placement, viability dynamics, and cellular‐scale morphology in vivo, offering a ...

Bypassing Pre‐Photoactivation in High‐Barrier Polyamide for Robust and Scalable Organic Persistent Luminescence

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A universal paradigm resolves the trade‐off between ambient stability and barrier properties in organic persistent luminescent (OPL) polymers. By interlocking chromophores within a high‐barrier MXD6 matrix, we achieved no Pre‐photoactivation OPLs with exceptional long‐term stability in water.

Chromatic roots are dense in the whole complex plane [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
I show that the zeros of the chromatic polynomials P-G(q) for the generalized theta graphs Theta((s.p)) are taken together, dense in the whole complex plane with the possible exception of the disc \q - l\ < l.

Strong List-Chromatic Index of Planar Graphs with Ore-Degree at Most Seven

open access: yes, 2023
A strong edge-coloring of a graph G = (V , E) is a partition of its edge set E into induced matchings. The Ore-degree of a graph G is defined to be max { d G (u) + d G (v) | u v ∈ E (G) } .
