Strong Consistency of Reliability Estimators for Multiple-Component Measuring Instruments
Structural Equation Modeling: A Multidisciplinary Journal, 2019It is shown that the maximum likelihood estimator of the widely used omega coefficient for reliability of multicomponent measuring instruments converges almost surely to the population reliability coefficient for normal congeneric measures with ...

Friend or Foe: Strong Consistency vs. Overload in High-Availability Distributed Systems and SDN
2018 IEEE International Symposium on Software Reliability Engineering Workshops (ISSREW), 2018Distributed systems play an increasingly important role in leading-edge networks with high availability requirements, including software-defined networks (SDN), where replicating essential network state information is critical to ensure resilience under ...

Uniformly strong consistency of frequency polygons for negatively associated samples
Communications in statistics. Simulation and computation, 2017In this article, the frequency polygon studied by Scott (1985) is investigated as a nonparametric estimator for negatively associated samples. By the Bernstein type inequality, we give the uniformly strong consistency of the estimator and obtain the ...

StableVideo: Text-driven Consistency-aware Diffusion Video Editing
IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision, 2023Diffusion-based methods can generate realistic images and videos, but they struggle to edit existing objects in a video while preserving their appearance over time.

On the Strong Consistency of Ridge Estimates
Communications in Statistics - Theory and Methods, 2014In this article, we establish strong consistency of the ridge estimates using extended results for the strong consistency of the least squares estimates in multiple regression models which discard the usual assumption of null mean value for the errors and only requires them to be i.i.d. with absolute moment of order r (0 < r ⩽ 1).

In the previous chapter, we have considered the problem of implementing a given social choice correspondence in strong Nash equilibria. In order to do this, we had to find a game form such that at each profile, the set of strong Nash equilibria of the resulting game coincided with the values of the social choice correspondence at this profile.

Strong consistency of Lasso estimators
Sankhya A, 2011In this paper, we study the strong consistency and rates of convergence of the Lasso estimator. It is shown that when the error variables have a finite mean, the Lasso estimator is strongly consistent, provided the penalty parameter (say, λ n ) is of smaller order than the sample size (say n).

Strong Consistency of Conditional Value-at-risk Estimate for ϕ-mixing Samples
, 2014In this article, we investigate the strong consistency of conditional value-at-risk estimate for ϕ −mixing samples under mild conditions. Moreover, the corresponding strong consistency rate is also obtained.
