On statistical convergence and strong Cesàro convergence by moduli for double sequences

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2022
A remarkable result on summability states that the statistical convergence and the strong Cesàro convergence are closely connected. Given a modulus function f, we will establish that a double sequence that is f-strong Cesàro convergent is always f ...

Strong$$^*$$ convergence of quantum channels [PDF]

open access: yesQuantum Information Processing, 2021
In [arXiv:1712.03219] the existence of a strongly (pointwise) converging sequence of quantum channels that can not be represented as a reduction of a sequence of unitary channels strongly converging to a unitary channel is shown. In this work we give a simple characterization of sequences of quantum channels that have the above representation.

On Some Fixed Point Iterative Schemes with Strong Convergence and Their Applications

open access: yesMathematical and Computational Applications, 2023
In this paper, a new one-parameter class of fixed point iterative method is proposed to approximate the fixed points of contractive type mappings.

Strong convergence of some drift implicit Euler scheme. Application to the CIR process [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We study the convergence of a drift implicit scheme for one-dimensional SDEs that was considered by Alfonsi for the Cox-Ingersoll-Ross (CIR) process. Under general conditions, we obtain a strong convergence of order 1.

The strong weak convergence of the quasi-EA [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper, we investigate the convergence of a novel simulation scheme to the target diffusion process. This scheme, the Quasi-EA, is closely related to the Exact Algorithm (EA) for diffusion processes, as it is obtained by neglecting the rejection ...

Strong convergence to fixed points of an evolution subfamily

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics, 2023
In this manuscript, we give strong convergence results for a fixed point of a subfamily of an evolution family on a convex and closed subset $ \mathcal{D} $ of a Banach space $ \mathsf{B} $.

Strong convergence rates of probabilistic integrators for ordinary differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Probabilistic integration of a continuous dynamical system is a way of systematically introducing model error, at scales no larger than errors introduced by standard numerical discretisation, in order to enable thorough exploration of possible responses ...

On the Speed of Convergence in the Strong Density Theorem [PDF]

open access: yesReal Analysis Exchange, 2019
For a compact set $K\subset \mathbb{R}^m$, we have two indexes given under simple parameters of the set $K$ (these parameters go back to Besicovitch and Taylor in the late 50's). In the present paper we prove that with the exception of a single extreme value for each index, we have the following elementary estimate on how fast the ratio in the strong ...

On the Convergence of Finite Element Methods for Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In this note we study the convergence of monotone P1 finite element methods on unstructured meshes for fully non-linear Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equations arising from stochastic optimal control problems with possibly degenerate, isotropic diffusions ...
