Neurovascular Contacts in the Pathophysiology of Neuralgic Amyotrophy: An Observational Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Neuralgic amyotrophy (NA) is a prevalent, monophasic, multifocal immune‐mediated neuropathy. A distinctive characteristic of the disease is the occurrence of nerve or fascicle constrictions and torsions (NA‐associated focal nerve lesions, NAFL). The pathophysiology underlying this phenomenon remains to be fully elucidated.

Strong Ground Motion during the 8 September 2021 (Mw7.0) Acapulco Earthquake: Rupture Directivity and its Effect on Simulated Motions in Mexico City from Postulated Mw 7.5 – 8.0 Earthquakes

open access: yesGeofísica Internacional
The 8 September 2021, Mw7.0, earthquake occurred in the SE Guerrero seismic gap along the Mexican subduction zone, just below Acapulco. The earthquake was strongly felt in Acapulco with peak ground acceleration (PGA) exceeding 0.6 g at some sites.

Comprehensive Characterization of 98 Chinese Cases of Genetic Creutzfeldt‐Jakob Disease With T188K Mutation

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To characterize the demographic, clinical, and laboratory features of the Chinese patients of genetic Creutzfeldt‐Jakob disease with T188K variant (T188K‐gCJD), the most common subtype of genetic prion diseases (gPrDs) in China. Methods In this nationwide retrospective study, data from 98 genetically confirmed T188K‐gCJD patients ...

Evaluation of Digital Technologies for Home‐Based Assessment in People With Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Digital technologies hold promise for transforming healthcare by enhancing personalized treatments and offer valuable opportunities to improve patient care. Here, we evaluated several novel, self‐administered, home‐based, digital endpoints for their association with corresponding conventional standard clinical measures (primary) in ...

Identification of Far-Field Long-Period Ground Motions Using Phase Derivatives

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2019
The characteristics of long-period ground motions are of significant concern to engineering communities largely due to resonance-induced responses of long-period structures to far-field long-period ground motions which are excited by the existence of ...

Validation of the Pediatric Arthritis Ultrasound Scoring System for the Elbow, Wrist, and Finger Joints in Children With Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We aimed to validate the Pediatric Arthritis Ultrasound Scoring System (PAUSS) for upper extremity joints in children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Methods Children with JIA were evaluated for elbow, wrist, or finger arthritis by clinical examination (CE) and musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) with images scored according to the ...
