ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.

Surface Level Synthetic Ground Motions for M7.6 2001 Gujarat Earthquake
The 2001 Gujarat earthquake was one of the most destructive intraplate earthquakes ever recorded. It had a moment magnitude of M w 7.6 and had a maximum felt intensity of X on the Modified Mercalli Intensity scale.

Depth-varying rupture properties of subduction zone megathrust faults [PDF]
Subduction zone plate boundary megathrust faults accommodate relative plate motions with spatially varying sliding behavior. The 2004 Sumatra-Andaman (M_w 9.2), 2010 Chile (Mw 8.8), and 2011 Tohoku (M_w 9.0) great earthquakes had similar depth variations

Remote Assessment of Ataxia Severity in SCA3 Across Multiple Centers and Time Points
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is a genetically defined ataxia. The Scale for Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) is a clinician‐reported outcome that measures ataxia severity at a single time point. In its standard application, SARA fails to capture short‐term fluctuations, limiting its sensitivity in trials.

Chile Strong Ground Motion Flatfile
The Nazca‐South American plate boundary produces large‐magnitude events (M w > 8) every 20 years on the coast of Chile. This work describes a public ground motion database that contains 3,572 records from 477 earthquakes and 181 seismic stations, which includes the ...

Non-stationary property in frequency content of horizontal ground motion vectors
The non-stationary properties of the strong ground motions are considered to have dominant influence on the dynamic response of structures. In this article, a new method is proposed to study the instantaneous frequency by constructing analytic signals ...

A stochastic approach for deriving effective linear properties of bilinear hysteretic systems subject to design spectrum compatible strong ground motions [PDF]
A novel statistical linearization based approach is proposed to derive effective linear properties (ELPs), namely damping ratio and natural frequency, for bilinear hysteretic oscillators subject to seismic excitations specified by an elastic response ...
