Strong Coupling Mesotron Theory of Nuclear Forces

Physical Review, 1943
A theory of nuclear forces is developed, based on the hypothesis that the interaction between a nuclear particle and the mesotron field is strong. Two types of mesotron fields are considered, the charged scalar and the neutral pseudoscalar. The latter, for large enough separation, gives forces between two nuclear particles of the same type as those ...

Strong nuclear force in cold antihydrogen-helium collisions

Physical Review A, 2004
We calculate cross sections for elastic scattering and annihilation in antihydrogen-helium collisions at low energies. The calculations are based on the Born-Oppenheimer approximation, and incorporate the effects of the strong interaction through a scattering length approach.

Including the strong nuclear force in antihydrogen-scattering calculations

Canadian Journal of Physics, 2005
We investigate two methods to include the strong nuclear force in hydrogen–antihydrogen scattering calculations. First, we construct a model optical potential with parameters determined by the measured shift and width of the protonium ground state.

Charge Dependency of Strong Nuclear Force via Phase Shift Analysis of Nucleon-Nucleon Potential

Communications in Theoretical Physics, 2004
Using the most recent phase shift data for pp, nn, and np elastic scattering for different states in the energy range of 1 MeV to 350 MeV, the charge dependency of the strong nuclear force is investigated. Our results indicate that although the charge independency holds in most of the energy range, such charge independency is broken in the particular ...
