Novel Vascularized Human Liver Organoids for Modeling Alcohol‐Induced Liver Injury and Developing Hepatoprotective Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 9, 13 February 2026.
This study successfully engineered vascularized liver organoids (3HLOs) by co‐culturing human reprogrammed hepatocyte‐like cells (hrHLs) with human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) and human umbilical mesenchymal stem cells (HUMSCs). Upon implantation, the 3HLOs established functional vascular anastomosis with the host circulation and ...

Single‐Cell RNA Sequencing and Bulk RNA Sequencing Revealed the Interplay Between Intratumoral Heterogeneity and the Tumor Microenvironment in Breast Cancer

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 2, February 2026.
The figure shows single‐cell datasets of breast cancer collected from the GEO database, including estrogen receptor‐positive breast cancer, HER2‐positive breast cancer, and triple‐negative breast cancer. These datasets are used to analyze differences among breast cancer subtypes by studying the interactions among epithelial cells, fibroblasts ...

DNTTIP1 drives leukaemogenesis through MiDAC‐mediated epigenetic silencing of BMF

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.
DNTTIP1 cooperates with SP1 to recruit HDAC1/2, leading to BMF silencing and reduced competitive binding of BMF to BCL2.This suppresses autophagy and apoptosis, promoting leukaemic cell survival. Targeting the DNTTIP1‐HDAC1/2‐BMF axis reactivates BMF and induces anti‐leukaemic effects.

Comprehensive tumour‐immune profiling reveals TREM2+ tumour‐associated macrophages facilitating lymph node metastasis in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.
(1) TREM2+ TAMs promote CD8+ T cell exhaustion by upregulating BHLHE40 through the SPP1–CD44 axis, contributing to a suppressive tumour immune microenvironment in HNSCC. (2) CD8+ Tex induced by TREM2+ TAMs facilitates immune escape and promotes tumour cell metastasis via the lymphangion.

Evaluating Antibiotic Resistance in Urban Rivers and Coral Reefs of Belize: Evidence for Hotspots and a Potential Screening Tool

open access: yesGeoHealth, Volume 10, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Antibiotic resistance is a significant threat to global public health and can disproportionately affect low‐ and middle‐ income countries (LMICs). There is a lack of studies focusing on antibiotic resistance in coral reef regions and environmental reservoirs in Central America.

Algorithm‐Based Common Microcirculatory Framework for Monitoring and Visualizing the Integrated Pancreatic Microcirculation in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Mice

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes, Volume 18, Issue 2, February 2026.
Integrated monitoring of the pancreatic microcirculation utilizes a multimodal probe to simultaneously acquire microhemodynamic and oxygenation data through combined laser Doppler flowmetry and diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS). Raw signals undergo algorithmic processing to extract speed‐resolved blood perfusion (BP) parameters, categorized into ...

Detecting and Modeling Emotional Landscapes Through Deep Learning, GPT‐4.1, and 3D Spatial Interpolation

open access: yesTransactions in GIS, Volume 30, Issue 1, February 2026.
ABSTRACT This research provides new directions in conceptualizing emotional geographies at the landscape level using a combination of textual deep learning (DL) and GPT‐based spatial emotion detection and interpolation using 3D empirical Bayesian kriging.

Nearly Hamilton cycles in sublinear expanders and applications

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 113, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract We develop novel methods for constructing nearly Hamilton cycles in sublinear expanders with good regularity properties, as well as new techniques for finding such expanders in general graphs. These methods are of independent interest due to their potential for various applications to embedding problems in sparse graphs.

On Multilevel Energy‐Based Fragmentation Methods

open access: yesInternational Journal of Quantum Chemistry, Volume 126, Issue 3, January 30, 2026.
We investigate the working equations of energy‐based fragmentation methods and present ML‐SUPANOVA, a Möbius‐inversion‐based multilevel fragmentation scheme that enables adaptive, quasi‐optimal truncations to efficiently approximate Born‐Oppenheimer potentials across hierarchies of electronic‐structure methods and basis sets.
