Asymmetric two-electron excitations in atomic strontium and barium
Physical Review A, 1994We present a general nonperturbative calculation of the photoionization cross section for highly asymmetrical two-electron systems. The calculations were performed using the eigenchannel [ital R]-matrix procedure together with multichannel quantum-defect theory, including the effects of long-range multipole interactions. The isolated-core approximation

Coupling between autoionizing states in atomic strontium
Zeitschrift für Physik D Atoms, Molecules and Clusters, 1987I present a theory and calculations of transitions between autoionizing states in Sr. Such transitions are found to become significant at photon fluxes above 1029 photons/cm2 s and tend to leave the ion in excited states. Examples of transitions to the excited ionic states 4d and 5p are presented.

Laser-induced collisional autoionization in europium and strontium atoms
Optics Letters, 1995An experiment that involves laser-induced collisional autoionization in europium and strontium atoms is proposed and the spectral line shape of the cross section is calculated on the basis of data available in the literature. The feasibility of the experiment both in oven cells and in a crossed-atomic-beam geometry is discussed.

Loading Strontium Atoms in Arrays of Optical Tweezers
2023Neutral atoms trapped in optical tweezers show promise as an implementation of quantum computation. For example, the number of qubits can be scaled naturally by increasing the tweezer laser power. In Eindhoven, we are constructing a tweezer machine that features strontium-88 atoms in an array of focused laser beams (optical tweezers).
