The solubility of strontium carbonate in water
Journal of the Chemical Society, Dalton Transactions, 1972Values have been determined for the solubility of SrCO3 in water, by use of both radiometric and flame emission spectrophotometric methods. The two methods gave essentially identical results. For water free from atmospheric CO2 the solubilities/mg I–1 were 5·34 ± 0·014 at 5 °C, 6·94 ± 0·018 at 15 °C, and 8·95 ± 0·029 at 25 °C.

Surface texture of strontium carbonate
Journal of Chemical Technology and Biotechnology, 1980AbstractTwo batches of strontium carbonate (SrCO3) prepared at temperatures ⩽333 K (A) and 373 K (B) were investigated using differential thermal analysis (DTA), thermogravimetric (TG), X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and N2 adsorption techniques. Heat treatment up to 1073 K causes no material decomposition of the carbonate and DTA and TG results indicate ...

Microbiological precipitation of strontium carbonate
2011 International Conference on Remote Sensing, Environment and Transportation Engineering, 2011In this paper, The strontium carbonate precipitate was induced with the role of the enzymes according to the bacillus pasteurii reproduction in different concentrations of Sr2+. The morphology and structure of strontium carbonate were characterized by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) and Scanning Electronic Microscope (SEM).

Reaction of Strontium Carbonate with Anatase and Rutile
Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 1986The kinetics of the solid‐state reaction of strontium carbonate with anatase and rutile in air and carbon dioxide were studied by use of a thermobalance. The product was single‐phase SrTiO3 in all cases. The relation between fraction reacted and time was fitted to the Jander equation and to the Carter equation for both anatase and rutile.

Surfactants-Controlled Morphosynthesis of Strontium Carbonate
Advanced Materials Research, 2011The controlled synthesis of SrCO3 microstructures with different morphologies, such as flower-like, cauliflower-like and finger-like, were successfully achieved in the presence of mixed nonionic/anionic surfactants polyoxyethylene (20) sorbitan monolaurate (Tween20) and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS).

The carbonate location in mixed calcium and strontium carbonated apatites
Polyhedron, 2020Abstract Mixed calcium/strontium carbonated apatites were obtained by aqueous addition of mixtures of calcium and strontium nitrate to NH4H2PO4 and Na2CO3 in the presence of both low and high sodium concentrations. The calcium: strontium ratios in the products were obtained by xrf and carbonate percentages by combustion analysis.

Absorption of strontium cations by a carbon nanomatrix
Coke and Chemistry, 2015The structure and adsorption properties a new micro- and nanostructured carbon matrix are studied. The sorptional capacity of the matrix is 65 mg/g for strontium (II) cations; the moisture absorption is 285.7 mg/g. The matrix effectively removes the strontium cations from aqueous solution. This suggests that it might prove useful in the purification of

Preparation of strontium carbonate from celestite
Mineral Processing and Extractive Metallurgy, 2000AbstractA novel method for the preparation of strontium carbonate from celestite ore has been investigated. The ore is reduced by brown coal at a temperature of 1000°C for a period of 3 h. The reduced product is leached with water at a liquid : solid ratio of 3 : 1 at 90°C and the slurry is then leached with hydrochloric acid at a solid : liquid ratio ...

Effective thermal conductivity of porous strontium oxide and strontium carbonate samples
Journal of Applied Physics, 1999The thermal diffusivity of some pressed powder strontium oxide (SrO) and strontium carbonate (SrCO3) samples has been measured from room temperature to 1400 °C in vacuum and in an argon atmosphere using the laser flash technique. The structures of the samples have been analyzed using a scanning electron microscope and a theoretical model has been ...

Les halogeno-carbonates de strontium
Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1969Abstract In the SrX2SrCO3 (X Cl, Br, I) binary systems a Sr3Br4Co3 orthorhombic phase isotypical with the baryum Ba3X4CO3 phases and a new metastable Sr4Cl6CO3 phase were made in evidence. Crystallographic data and thermal stability are determined.
