High-resolution radioisotopic measurements of calcium, strontium, and barium in heart
Journal of Applied Physiology, 1975A gamma-ray detector system used in conjunction with isolated vascularly perfused rabbit septa labeled with the Ca-like cations 85Sr and 133Ba has been developed to test the feasibility of constructing a considerably more efficient detector system capable of measuring the highly energetic (Emax congruent to 1.3 MeV) 47Ca radionuclide.

Radioisotopes in the teeth of dogs—I
Archives of Oral Biology, 1960Abstract Jaws and teeth containing radioisotopes from adult Beagles were studied to determine the location of the activity and the sequence of histopathologic changes. Radioautography after a single intravenous injection of bone-seeking radioisotopes (plutonium, radium, mesothorium, radiothorium and strontium) in young adult Beagles yielded the same ...

An amorphous, partially-reduced tin dioxide, having properties of an inorganic exchanger, was tested for application to fission product separations. Due to the good sorption of both strontium and barium the application of the exchanger to radiostrontium isolation from fission product mixtures is subject to important restrictions. An application to 90Sr
