Palaeostructure, evolution and tight oil distribution of the Ordos Basin, China

open access: yesOil & Gas Science and Technology, 2019
Whether or not the tight oil in the Triassic Yanchang Formation of the Ordos Basin is controlled by structural factors is a controversial issue, the relationship between the structural factors of the strata and the distribution of tight oil is limited to

Inter-basin fluctuations in glass-forming liquids: short time and long time thermodynamic susceptibilities [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2002
Thermodynamic effects of local structure fluctuations in glassformers are analyzed in terms of energy basins and inter-basin hopping. Depending on the time-scale of measurement, one observes short-time thermodynamic properties related to a narrow set of basins, or equilibrium properties that include structural relaxation.

Waste Management and Waste Disposal Detected by Combination of Analytical Methods: Late Bronze Age Březnice Settlement Site (South Bohemia)

open access: yesArchaeological Prospection, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Waste disposal processes and landfill management are crucial subjects in the field of settlement archaeology. Our study is focused on understanding the processes that are connected to the formation of the infills of settlement features and the recycling of the building materials (daub and wood) and waste management.

Kinematic classification, structural modeling and prospective fields of the foreland thrust belts in Midwest China

open access: yesPetroleum Exploration and Development, 2013
According to the distribution and transfer directions of thrust displacements under which the size, shape and pattern of thrust belt are controlled, the foreland thrust belts are classified into four types in middle and western China: (1) Type I, all the

Flow dynamics of the Moon [PDF]

open access: yesNew advances in Lunar Exploration. Proceedings of International symposium on Lunar science (ISLS2010), March 25-26, Macao. Eds: Ziyuang Ouyang, Wing-Huen Ip, Zesheng Tang. Macau University of Science and Technology, 2010. P. 194-214., 2010
Flow analysis of big basins is given. Internal structure of flows is considered. Correlations between flows are calculated. For example, Mare Orientale is a moving basin. Orientale and Imbrium continental basins are introduced and are considered. Olbers ray crater is a result of precise interaction of the two basins. Flows of the Tycho type are studied.

Bringing Small Devices, Giving Design Advice: Introducing Radiation Protection Practices in Greece via the IAEA's Visiting Professor Program**

open access: yesBerichte zur Wissenschaftsgeschichte, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper examines how an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) expert mission for technical assistance in the late 1950s to Greece was effectively transformed into a mission to achieve the IAEA′s central objective: to consolidate its position as the leading global authority on radiation protection. The study focuses on the work of Alfred

The influence of land management and seasonal changes in surface vegetation on flood mitigation in two UK upland catchments

open access: yesHydrological Processes, Volume 36, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
Modelling flow peaks and timing in response to seasonal vegetation change and applied grassland management from high‐intensity grazing, through natural succession to woodland, and conservation farming. Abstract As the frequency and magnitude of storm events increase with climate change, understanding how season and management influence flood peaks is ...

3D structural model of the Polish Basin

open access: yesTectonophysics, 2005
Abstract A 3D structural modelling of the Permian–Mesozoic Polish Basin was performed in order to understand its structural and sedimentary evolution, which led to basin maturation (Permian–Cretaceous) and its tectonic inversion (Late Cretaceous–Paleogene).
