Structural trends in clusters of quadrupolar spheres

open access: yes, 2008
The influence of quadrupolar interactions on the structure of small clusters is investigated by adding a point quadrupole of variable strength to the Lennard-Jones potential.

Post‐LECA Origin and Diversification of an Axonemal Outer Arm Dynein Motor

open access: yesCytoskeleton, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Dyneins were present in the last eukaryotic common ancestor (LECA) and play key roles in eukaryotic biology. Axonemal dyneins form the inner and outer arms that power ciliary beating, and it has long been recognized that outer arms in some organisms contain two different heavy chain motors, whereas those from other species contain a third unit

Two-sided asymmetric subduction; implications for tectonomagmatic and metallogenic evolution of the Lut Block, Eastern Iran [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
West directed subduction zones show common characteristics, such as low structural elevation, deep trench, steep slab and a conjugate back-arc basin that are opposite to those of the east directed subduction zones.

Conservation of the Total Order of the Axial SiSi and N → Si Bonds in Oligosilanylsilatranes

open access: yesChemPhysChem, EarlyView.
Total bond order (the sum of inversely related bSiSi and bN → Si bond orders) in oligo‐silanylsilatranes is constant and equal to unity unequivocally proving 3c‐4e character of the N → SiSi bond and a distinct covalent contribution in the N → Si interaction.

The basin and range systems and their evolution of the northwestern margin of Junggar Basin, China: Implications for the hydrocarbon accumulation

open access: yesEnergy Exploration & Exploitation, 2019
Basin and range system in the northwestern margin of the Junggar Basin highly controlled the distribution of sediments and oil and gas. Detailed studies of basin and range system will be helpful in understanding the formation of hydrocarbon resources ...

Structural stability on basins for numerical methods [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1999
Summary: The author shows that a flow \(\varphi\) with a hyperbolic compact attracting set is structurally stable on the basin of attraction with respect to numerical methods. The result is a generalized version of earlier results by \textit{B. M. Garay} [Numer. Math. 72, 449-479 (1996; Zbl 0868.65058)], \textit{M.-C. Li} [J. Differ. Equ.

Archaeometric Analyses of Medieval Pottery from the Lower Danube Region, Romania

open access: yesChemPlusChem, EarlyView.
This study is about the pottery manufacturing in the Lower Danube region during the Early Medieval period (8th–10th c. AD). Optical microscopy, Particle induced X‐ray emission, and X‐ray diffraction analyses performed on 32 representative ceramic shards excavated at Pantelimonu de Sus, Constanţa County, Romania, provide clues on the raw materials and ...

3D structural model of the Polish Basin

open access: yesTectonophysics, 2005
Abstract A 3D structural modelling of the Permian–Mesozoic Polish Basin was performed in order to understand its structural and sedimentary evolution, which led to basin maturation (Permian–Cretaceous) and its tectonic inversion (Late Cretaceous–Paleogene).
