Causal analysis of extreme risk in a network of industry portfolios
Abstract We provide a detailed review of causal dependence within the framework of max‐linear structural models. Such models express each node variable as a max‐linear function of its parental node variables in a directed acyclic graph (DAG) and some exogenous innovation.

Geometric and chronologic evolution of the Verde and Payson Basins of Central Arizona and possible relationships to detachment faulting [PDF]
The Transition Zone of Arizona and the structural basins therein have been poorly understood features from a structural standpoint. This is true both of their overall geometry as well as their formation. Yet these basins have developed within the last 13

Post‐LECA Origin and Diversification of an Axonemal Outer Arm Dynein Motor
ABSTRACT Dyneins were present in the last eukaryotic common ancestor (LECA) and play key roles in eukaryotic biology. Axonemal dyneins form the inner and outer arms that power ciliary beating, and it has long been recognized that outer arms in some organisms contain two different heavy chain motors, whereas those from other species contain a third unit

Molecular dynamics of folding of secondary structures in Go-type models of proteins
We consider six different secondary structures of proteins and construct two types of Go-type off-lattice models: with the steric constraints and without.

The present study uses the Modified Mohr‐Coulomb true‐triaxial failure criterion (MMC_TT), which predicts the strength of rock better than the MGC criterion in laboratory true‐triaxial tests to overcome the limitations. Moreover, based on the data from previously published five vertical wells in the Krishna‐Godavari basin (K‐G basin), an empirical ...

Hotspots, trends, and regional focus on oil or gas exploration: A bibliometric comparative study
This paper explores the research trends in global oil and gas exploration through the bibliometric analysis of 3460 articles collected from the Web of Science database on oil and gas exploration published from 2013 to 2023. The research hotspots, objects, regional distribution, methods, and evaluation methods of oil and gas exploration are analyzed and
