The introduction of Bitcoin as a distributed peer-to-peer digital cash in 2008 and its first recorded real transaction in 2010 served the function of a medium of exchange, transforming the financial landscape by offering a decentralized, peer-to-peer ...

Inference on locally ordered breaks in multiple regressions [PDF]
We consider issues related to inference about locally ordered breaks in a system of equations, as originally proposed by Qu and Perron (2007 Qu, Z., Perron, P. (2007). Estimating and testing structural changes in multivariate regressions. Econometrica 75:

Structural Breaks and Non-Linearities for Predicting the Probability of US Recessions using the Spread [PDF]
This paper proposes a structural break threshold model (SBT) to the dynamic relationship between US output growth and the spread between long- and short-term interest rates.

Structural break or long memory: an empirical survey on daily rainfall data sets across Malaysia
A short memory process that encounters occa- sional structural breaks in mean can show a slower rate of decay in the autocorrelation function and other properties of fractional integrated I(d) processes.

This study examines how several molten high‐silicon electrical steels interact with both conventional and recycled MgO–C refractories. For this, various immersion experiments are conducted. In addition to infiltration, a number of mechanisms are identified and explained that control the corrosion of the refractory material.

On the Forecasting Properties of the Alternative Leading Indicators for the German GDP: Recent Evidence [PDF]
In this paper we perform a comparative study of the forecasting properties of the alternative leading indicators for Germany using the growth rates of German real GDP. We use the post-unification data which cover years from 1991 through 2004. We detect a

In this experimental study, the mechanical properties of additively manufactured Ti‐6Al‐4V lattice structures of different geometries are characterized using compression, four point bending and fatigue testing. While TPMS designs show superior fatigue resistance, SplitP and Honeycomb lattice structures combine high stiffness and strength. The resulting

Factor Selection and Structural Breaks
We develop a new approach to select risk factors in an asset pricing model that allows the set to change at multiple unknown break dates. Using the six factors displayed in Table 1 since 1963, we document a marked shift towards parsimonious models in the last two decades.
