Investigating Factors Affecting Energy Intensity with Emphasis on Structural Break in Iran [PDF]

open access: yesپژوهشهای اقتصادی, 2019
Due to the importance of limited energy resources in the world, researchers and policy makers pay more attention to energy intensity. The purpose of the paper is to study the effect of structural break on factors influencing energy intensity in Iran ...

Testing for Structural Breaks in Nonlinear Dynamic Models Using Artificial Neural Network Approximations [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we suggest a number of statistical tests based on neural network models, that are designed to be powerful against structural breaks in otherwise stationary time series processes while allowing for a variety of nonlinear specifications for ...

Screen‐Printed Flexible Piezoelectric Force Sensor Array with Electromagnetic Interference Shielding

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article introduces a flexible screen‐printed piezoelectric sensor array designed for low‐frequency healthcare applications such as tactile sensing and cardiovascular monitoring. The device integrates interface electronics enabling the simultaneous acquisition of up to 128 signals, along with flexible EMI shielding that significantly reduces noise ...

β-Convergence between Iran and Selected Islamic Countries [PDF]

open access: yesپژوهشهای اقتصادی, 2013
This paper examines the existence of β-Convergence between per-capita incomes of selected Islamic countries. For this purpose, data over the period 1965-2006 and a time series approach proposed by Vogelsang (1998) are applied. Robustness of the estimated

A Comparison of Forecasting Procedures for Macroeconomic Series: the Contribution of Structural Break Models [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper compares the forecasting performance of different models which have been proposed for forecasting in the presence of structural breaks. These models differ in their treatment of the break process, the parameters defining the model which ...

Transfer of Energy and Momentum Between Magnetoactive Surface Microstructure and a Solid Object

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate that magnetoactive multilamellar arrays subjected to a rotating magnetic field can function as platforms for controlled transport of physical objects. Through systematic experimental investigation, we elucidate the underlying physical mechanisms determining the upper limit of the achievable transportation speed in such magnetic “conveyor‐

Small Sample Properties of Forecasts from Autoregressive Models under Structural Breaks [PDF]

open access: yes
Autoregressive models are used routinely in forecasting and often lead to better performance than more complicated models. However, empirical evidence is also suggesting that the autoregressive representations of many macroeconomic and financial time ...

Bimetallic (NiFe) and Trimetallic (NiFeCr) Nanoalloys from Metal Oxides Using a Microwave Hydrogen Plasma

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Bimetallic (NiFe) and trimetallic (NiFeCr) nanoalloys (NAs) are synthesized using corresponding oxide mixtures using microwave hydrogen plasma within a few milliseconds. The process simultaneously 1) reduces metal oxides to metals; 2) downsizes the particles from micrometers to nanometers; and 3) blends the metals to form NAs.
