The Likert scale analysis using parametric based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) [PDF]

open access: yesComputational Methods in Social Sciences, 2016
The Likert scale is commonly used in survey research using primary and secondary data to measure the respondent attitude by asking insofar to which they agree or disagree with a particular questions.

The role of local content policy in local value creation in Nigeria's oil industry: A structural equation modeling (SEM) approach

open access: yes, 2016
The question of how adopting local content policy (LC policy) benefits the economic growth of developing oil-rich countries is hardly new but is a continuous debate that often centers on increasing the value-added that LC policy can create within the oil

CB-SEM vs PLS-SEM comparison in estimating the predictors of investment intention

open access: yesCroatian Operational Research Review
This paper compares different structural equation modeling approaches in estimating the predictors of investment intention. Covariance-based structural equation modeling (CB-SEM) and partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) techniques

A brief review of partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) use in quality management studies

open access: yesThe TQM Journal, 2022
PurposePartial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) has become an established social sciences multivariate analysis technique. Since quality management researchers also increasingly using PLS-SEM, this growing interest calls for guidance ...

Analyzing the Urban Management Challenges of the New Iranian Towns Based on Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) [PDF]

open access: yesبرنامه‌ریزی توسعه شهری و منطقه‌ای, 2019
New Iranian towns were created mainly to reduce population burden and concentrate economic activity on large cities. Despite their thoughtful formation, practically it was not easy to achieve these two goals and many challenges were faced by urban ...

Assessing Reliability and Validity of Attitude Construct Using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM)

open access: yesInternational Journal of Academic Research in Business and Social Sciences, 2022
Voluminous studies use Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze data. One of the reasons for using PLS-SEM is when the structural model is complex.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) in Research: Narrative Literature Review

open access: yesOpen Access Indonesia Journal of Social Sciences, 2022
The structural equation modelling (SEM) method has stronger predicting power than path analysis and multiple regression because SEM is able to analyze at the deepest level the variables or constructs studied. This literature review aimed to describe the use of structural equation modelling in research.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve
