Products of Variables in Structural Equation Models

open access: yesStructural Equation Modeling: A Multidisciplinary Journal, 2023
A general method is introduced in which variables that are products of other variables in the context of a structural equation model (SEM) can be decomposed into the sources of variance due to the multiplicands. The result is a new category of SEM which we call a Products of Variables Model (PoV).

Structural Equation Modelling in the exploration and analysis of intrauterine environmental exposures with infant health effects

open access: yesAnnals of Agricultural and Environmental Medicine, 2019
Introduction In epidemiology, generalized linear models are the main statistical methods used to explore associations. However, the use of other methods such as Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) is gradually increasing.

On Structural Equation Model Equivalence

open access: yesMultivariate Behavioral Research, 1999
A necessary and sufficient condition for equivalence of structural equation models is presented. Compared to existing rules for equivalent model generation (Stelzl, 1986; Lee & Hershberger, 1990; Hershberger, 1994), it is applicable to a more general class including models with parameter restrictions and models that may or may not fulfil assumptions of

Subgroup discovery in structural equation models.

open access: yesPsychological Methods, 2021
Structural equation modeling (SEM) is one of the most popular statistical frameworks in the social and behavioural sciences. Often, detection of groups with distinct sets ofparameters in structural equation models (SEM) are of key importance for appliedresearchers, for example, when investigating differential item functioning for a mentalability test ...

Advancing lean management: The missing quantitative approach

open access: yesOperations Research Perspectives, 2019
For 25 years, the methodologies employed to study lean management have gone relatively unchallenged. This paper reviews the development of the lean body of knowledge and reveals that the vast majority of research, being qualitative, relied heavily on ...
