Investigations on the influence of the structural flexibility of nanoliposomes on their properties
Journal of liposome research, 2021In the present study, nanoliposomes with tuneable structure elasticity were prepared by reverse-phase evaporation. Both Fluorescence Polarization and Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer was employed to characterize the structural elasticity of ...

Epitopes of Protein Binders Are Related to the Structural Flexibility of a Target Protein Surface
Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling, 2021Protein binders including antibodies are known not to bind to random sites of target proteins, and their functional effectiveness mainly depends on the binding region, called the epitope.

Structured flexibility of moral judgment.
Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 1991One of the central assumptions of Kohlberg's theory of moral development--that moral judgment is organized in structures of the whole--was examined. Thirty men and 30 women were given 2 dilemmas from Kohlberg's Moral Judgment Interview, a 3rd involving prosocial behavior, and a 4th involving impaired driving.

Structural flexibility identification via moving-vehicle-induced time-varying modal parameters
Journal of Sound and Vibration, 2020To overcome the limitation of existing methods only identifying basic dynamic properties of bridge structures, a moving vehicle strategy was proposed to identify more meaningful parameters including mass-normalized mode shapes and structural flexibility ...

CONTROL OF THE SYSTEMS WITH FLEXIBLE STRUCTURE
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2009Abstract Great interest to investigation of control problem for system with flexible structure is caused by wide spectrum of application task, in particular, for control electromechanical systems. Under consideration the mostly used approach is based on control rigid variables and successive analysis of influence of transient process of rigid ...

On control of flexible structures
Proceedings of the 41st IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2002., 2003A new method of noncollocated controller design for flexible structures, governed by the wave equation, is proposed. First a transfer function, relating arbitrary actuation and measurement points, with general boundary conditions, is derived and its properties are investigated.

Damage Detection in Flexible Structures
Journal of Sound and Vibration, 1993Abstract A method is developed for the detection of the existence and location of structural damage. Structural damage is considered to be at the macroscopic level. The detection is carried out in two parts. In the first part, the eigensolution of the structure is identified using a modal parameter identification technique and the system response ...
