Damage Identification of Stay Cables Based on a Small Amount of Deflection Monitoring Data
For the problem of cable damage identification in cable-stayed bridges, we have presented a method for identifying cable damage based on deflection monitoring data from a small number of measurement points.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

A GPR Imagery-Based Real-Time Algorithm for Tunnel Lining Void Identification Using Improved YOLOv8
Tunnel lining voids, a common latent defect induced by the coupling effects of complex geological, environmental, and load factors, pose severe threats to operational and personnel safety. Traditional detection methods relying on Ground-Penetrating Radar

Bifidobacterium bifidum establishes symbiosis with infants by metabolizing lacto‐N‐biose I (LNB) from human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). The extracellular multidomain enzyme LnbB drives this process, releasing LNB via its catalytic glycoside hydrolase family 20 (GH20) lacto‐N‐biosidase domain.

Structural Health Monitoring of 2D Plane Structures
This paper presents the application of the observability technique for the structural system identification of 2D models. Unlike previous applications of this method, unknown variables appear both in the numerator and the denominator of the stiffness matrix system, making the problem non-linear and impossible to solve.

Ultrasonic Guided Waves-Based Monitoring of Rail Head: Laboratory and Field Tests
Recent train accidents have reaffirmed the need for developing a rail defect detection system more effective than that currently used. One of the most promising techniques in rail inspection is the use of ultrasonic guided waves and noncontact probes.

The Caenorhabditis elegans DPF‐3 and human DPP4 have tripeptidyl peptidase activity
The dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPPIV) family comprises serine proteases classically defined by their ability to remove dipeptides from the N‐termini of substrates, a feature that gave the family its name. Here, we report the discovery of a previously unrecognized tripeptidyl peptidase activity in DPPIV family members from two different species.
