Structure and properties of PbS films
Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2013Abstract The crystal structure of thin lead sulfide (PbS) films prepared by chemical deposition from aqueous solutions on a glass substrate is studied by X-ray diffraction analysis. It is established that the PbS films studied have a cubic (space group Fm 3 ¯ m ) D03-type crystal structure different from the B1-type structure ...

The electronic band structure of PbS
Proceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series A. Mathematical and Physical Sciences, 1953The cellular method has been applied to the determination of electronic wave functions of the Bloch type in PbS. In each cell ψ is expanded in terms of ‘Kubic harmonics', and a table of these functions (for a NaCl type of lattice) for prominent points in momentum space is included.

Revisiting CdS-PbS Solar Cell Structure
MRS Proceedings, 2007AbstractCdS and PbS are well known semiconductor materials. Starting in 1969 and into 1970's CdS-PbS cells were reported with open circuit voltage (Voc) up to 450 mV and short circuit current density (Jsc) < 1 mA/cm2. However, further reports are scarce. These two materials are also the most investigated by chemical deposition technique.

Structure of liquid K-Pb alloys
Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 1989he structure factors of liquid Pb, K0.25Pb0.75, K0.50Pb0.50, K0.65Pb0.35 and K0.80Pb0.20 have been measured by means of neutron diffraction. The main peaks of the structure factors of the alloys are preceded by a pre-peak which is most pronounced in K0.50Pb0.50.

Jet production and structure in pp, p–Pb and Pb–Pb collisions measured by ALICE
Nuclear Physics A, 2014Abstract In ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions a hot, dense medium of strongly interacting matter called the Quark Gluon Plasma (QGP) is formed. One of the main goals of jet measurements is to study how the fragmentation of hard scattered partons is modified as they traverse the medium.

Structural Changes of Liquid Pb-Bi Eutectic Alloy
Materials Science Forum, 2012Liquid Pb–Bi eutectic (LBE) alloy has been selected as coolant and neutron spallation source for the development of MYRRHA, an accelerator driven system (ADS). The alloy has been characterized in liquid state from melting (125 °C) to 750 °C by mechanical spectroscopy, i.e. internal friction (IF) and dynamic modulus measurements.

Structure refinement of Pb-6Sb alloy
Journal of Materials Science, 1992Structure refinement of Pb-6Sb alloy was investigated experimentally using two techniques: first by adding a grain refiner of 0.02% Ag2Se to the liquid alloy, and second by introducing mechanical stirring of the molten alloy during its cooling from above the melting point to a temperature in the mushy zone.
