A Review of Structural Priming
Journal of Linguistics and Communication Studies, 2023With the development of second language acquisition research involving more and more disciplines, structural priming, as an experimental paradigm, can study the syntactic representation, language comprehension and production from the perspective of psychology.

In this paper we show that attachment height (high vs. low attachment) of a modifier to a complex noun phrase (CNP; e.g., “the servant of the actress”), can be primed between dissimilar syntactic structures. In a sentence completion experiment, we found that the attachment height of a prepositional phrase (PP) in the prime sentence primed the ...

Prime Miner - Process Discovery using Prime Event Structures
2019 International Conference on Process Mining (ICPM), 2019We present a new region-based approach to process discovery using prime event structures as an intermediate model. We use the prime event structure to generate precise models of the most frequent use-cases captured by an event-log. We start with an event log, apply a concurrency oracle to construct a partial language, and fold the language into prime ...

Context, Not Grammar, Is Key to Structural Priming
Trends in Cognitive SciencesStructural priming - a change in processing after repeated exposure to a syntactic structure - has been put forward as evidence for the psychological reality of constituent structures derived from grammar. However, converging evidence from memory research, large language models (LLMs), and structural priming itself challenges the validity of mapping ...

On Structure of the Schrödinger Algebra in Prime Characteristic
Algebra ColloquiumLet [Formula: see text] be an algebraically closed field of prime characteristic not equal to 2. We determine the automorphism group and restricted automorphism group of the Schrödinger algebra, and obtain a classification of [Formula: see text]-characters of the Schrödinger algebra under the coadjoint action of its restricted automorphism group.

The Prime Structure of Linear Dynamical Systems
SIAM Journal on Control, 1972In a previous paper [1] a theory, called transfer equivalence theory for constant linear dynamical systems, was presented, which led to a simple realization algorithm. In the present paper that theory is significantly sharpened by weakening the requirements for transfer equivalence, and this leads to the concepts of prime structure and prime system.

On the structure of Sidel'nikov sequences for Pythagorean primes
2012 International Symposium on Signals, Systems, and Electronics (ISSSE), 2012Pseudo-noise (PN) sequences (also known as a spreading code) are commonly employed in spread-spectrum (SS) multi-access systems via techniques like frequency-hopping (FHSS) or direct-sequence (DSSS). In this paper we exploit the algebraic structure of a class of PN sequences (that of M-ary Sidel'nikov sequences) in order to efficiently derive its ...
