A defence of informational structural realism [PDF]
This is the revised version of an invited keynote lecture delivered at the 1st Australian Computing and Philosophy Conference (CAP@AU; the Australian National University in Canberra, 31 October–2 November, 2003). The paper is divided into two parts. The first part defends an informational approach to structural realism. It does so in three steps. First,

Structural Realism, again [PDF]
The paper defends a view of structural realism similar to that of French and Ladyman, although it differs from theirs in an important respect: I do not take indistinguishabiity of particles in quantum mechanics to have the significance they think it has.

Operational theories as structural realism
We undertake a reconstruction of the epistemic significance of research on operational theories in quantum foundations. We suggest that the space of operational theories is analogous to the space of possible worlds employed in the possible world semantics for modal logic, so research of this sort can be understood as probing modal structure.

Structural realism versus deployment realism: A comparative evaluation [PDF]
In this paper I challenge and adjudicate between the two positions that have come to prominence in the scientific realism debate: deployment realism and structural realism. I discuss a set of cases from the history of celestial mechanics, including some of the most important successes in the history of science. To the surprise of the deployment realist,

Group Structural Realism [PDF]
We present a precise form of structural realism, called group structural realism, which identifies 'structure' in quantum theory with symmetry groups. However, working out the details of this view actually illuminates a major problem for structural realism; namely, a structure can itself have structure.

Minimal Information Structural Realism [PDF]
This paper presents Minimal Information Structural Realism (MISR), that claims that information (signified by I) is an ontologically and epistemologically objective entity (signified by R) and is apprehended as, but not identical to structures perceived ...

Underdetermination and Ontic Structural Realism [PDF]
One of the most important arguments against scientific realism is underdetermination, so realists should address the argument satisfactorily and give an appropriate response to it.

A Critical Review of Mario Alai’s Solution to the Problem of Underdetermination of Quantum Mechanics Theories in Defense of Scientific Realism [PDF]
Empirical underdetermination is one of the problems that challenges the position of scientific realism regarding the unobservable level of scientific theories.

Systemic Geopolitical Analysis in the research of power distribution in Eastern Europe [PDF]
The article presents Systemic Geopolitical Analysis, which as a scientific method can be an important tool for studying the distribution of power in Eastern Europe, supporting the assumptions of structural realism with an element of quantitative research.

Conceptualization of Theoretical Ideas on Religious Security in the Context of Western Studies of Interaction Between Society and Religion [PDF]
The article analyzes the problems of religious security presented in modern research concepts. The article is aimed at proving the idea that in Western science the problems of religious security are conceptualized within the framework of discussing the ...
