Structurally Reinforced Tetraazamacrocyclic Complexes

Inorganic Chemistry, 2000
The reaction between alkyl or aryl aldehydes and macrocyclic ligands with pendant amine groups produced imidazolidine-containing bi- or tricyclic ligands. The copper complexes of three of these ligands were structurally characterized: [CuL3Cl].3H2O (triclinic, P1, a = 10.041(2) A, b = 10.172(1) A, c = 11.202(1) A, alpha = 92.07(1) degrees, beta = 96.76(

Reinforcement of General Shell Structures

ACM Transactions on Graphics, 2020
We introduce an efficient method for designing shell reinforcements of minimal weight. Inspired by classical Michell trusses, we create a reinforcement layout whose members are aligned with optimal stress directions, then optimize their shape minimizing the volume while keeping stresses bounded.

Reinforced structural holes

Social Networks, 2015
Abstract Holes in social structure are variably reinforced by the social organization around the hole. The more reinforced the hole, the greater the difficulty in bridging it, but the more likely a successful bridge will carry information novel, and so potentially valuable, to people on the other side. To study how reinforcement varies with access to

REINFORCEMENT OF AGEING SHIP STRUCTURES

International Journal of Maritime Engineering, 2018
The objective of the present study is to investigate the possibility to recover the ultimate strength of a rectangular steel plate with a manhole shape opening subjected to a uniaxial compressive load and non-uniform corrosion degradation reinforced by additional stiffeners.

Structural Reliability for Fiber Reinforced Polymer Reinforced Concrete Structures

SP-188: 4th Intl Symposium - Fiber Reinforced Polymer Reinforcement for Reinforced Concrete Structures, 1999
Design guidelines for reinforced concrete structures (RC) with fiber reinforced polymers (FRP) use the concept of partial safety factors to ensure that structural safety is attained. However, when partial safety factors are used for the design of FRP RC structures, the structural reliability levels are not known.
