A Bayesian Estimation of the Reliability of Coherent Structures
Operations Research, 1978We develop a procedure for estimating the reliability of a coherent structure of independent components when a prior distribution is assigned to the reliability of the structure function and when failure data on either the structure, its components, or on both are available. We generalize our results by obtaining bounds on the moments of the posterior

Structural Software Reliability Estimation
1999Structure is introduced to the process of software reliability estimation. An estimator for the overall software failure rate is constructed using estimators of subtask-failure rates. This is done for the case when testing reveals no failure. The obtained estimator depends on the number of subtasks present in the code and on the code structure.

Statics and Reliability of Masonry Structures
1991In this chapter, a mechanical model for masonry structures is introduced. Specifically, it is assumed that masonry can be idealized as a particular kind of “no-tension” material. The expected agreement of the model with the real behaviour of masonry buildings is discussed.

Seismic Reliability Analysis of Structures
2004Progress in the field of earthquake engineering is moving fast towards the implementation of the concepts underlying design for a range of performance targets. Central to this objective is the ability to provide quantitative predictions of future economic losses as well as safety levels, accounting for the many uncertainties involved in the earthquake ...

Differentiating the reliability of aluminum structures
Czasopismo Techniczne. Budownictwo, 2014The design of aluminum structures, according to the modern generation of European standards, sets new requirements regarding the reliability management of such facilities before the authors of architectural and structural designs. Reliability problems should be formulated at an early stage of the investment process ‒ the construction design, in a clear
