On the structure of discrete systems
1996The intention of this article is to present a general, uniform and concise mathematical framework for modelling of systems, especially discrete systems. As basic structures families and relations, defined as families of families represented in parameterized form, are used, which allows the representation of dual and polymorphic relations.

Structural systems: a marriage of structural engineering and system science
Journal of Structural Control, 2002AbstractThis research seeks to provide analytical tools and concepts to unify the disciplines of materials, structures, control, and signal processing. Deficiencies are noted in the existing theories of systems science that fails to provide a theory for system design, integrating the design of components.
