Structure and Vibrational Spectra☆
2013The way ab initio simulation provides the vibrational properties of crystalline compounds is described. The transverse optical (TO) and longitudinal optical (LO) branches of the infrared (IR) spectrum, the TO-LO splitting, the IR intensities, the vibrational contribution to the dielectric tensor, the Born effective charges, and the reflectance spectrum

<p>«Vibrations in Structures» concentrates on vibrations in structures as excited by human motion or machine operation. Man-induced vibrations may arise from walking, running, skipping, dancing, etc. They occur mostly in pedestrian structures, office buildings, gymnasia and sports halls, dancing and concert halls, stadia, etc.

Vibrating structure gyroscopes
Sensor Review, 1996Research and development of solid state gyroscopes has been, for a long time, ongoing within British Aerospace (Systems & Equipment) Ltd, (BASE). BASE, in order to be a leader in the supply of gyroscopes, has continued to research and develop new products. Future developments point to solid state devices supporting conventional gyroscopes.

Thioacetylacetone: Structural and Vibrational Assignments
ChemPhysChem, 2004AbstractThioacetylacetone and its variously deuterated isotopomers have been investigated using electronic and vibrational spectroscopy combined with quantum chemical calculations. Thioacetylacetone is known for its photochromic properties, but the structures of the initial and final forms have been the subject of a long debate.

Improving vibrator structure to eliminate vibration noise
The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, 2017Vibroseis is an important deep seismic exploration method, and the vibrator is a unique tool used to transmit scanning signals underground. However, seismic waves recorded by receivers often contain many kinds of noises, such as vibration noise, which are detrimental to the perception of the source signal.
