A structure from motion inequality
We state an elementary inequality for the structure from motion problem for m cameras and n points. This structure from motion inequality relates space dimension, camera parameter dimension, the number of cameras and number points and global symmetry ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

The Use of Gigapixel Photogrammetry for the Understanding of Landslide Processes in Alpine Terrain
The work in this paper illustrates an experimental application for geosciences by coupling new and low cost photogrammetric techniques: Gigapixel and Structure-from-Motion (SfM).

Progressive Structure from Motion [PDF]
Structure from Motion or the sparse 3D reconstruction out of individual photos is a long studied topic in computer vision. Yet none of the existing reconstruction pipelines fully addresses a progressive scenario where images are only getting available during the reconstruction process and intermediate results are delivered to the user.

Hierarchical structure-and-motion recovery from uncalibrated images
This paper addresses the structure-and-motion problem, that requires to find camera motion and 3D struc- ture from point matches. A new pipeline, dubbed Samantha, is presented, that departs from the prevailing sequential paradigm and embraces instead a ...

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Structure from Periodic Motion [PDF]
We show how to exploit temporal periodicity of moving objects to perform 3D reconstruction. The collection of period-separated frames serve as a surrogate for multiple rigid views of a particular pose of the moving target, thus allowing the use of standard techniques of multiview geometry.

Dynamic Rigid Motion Estimation From Weak Perspective [PDF]
“Weak perspective” represents a simplified projection model that approximates the imaging process when the scene is viewed under a small viewing angle and its depth relief is small relative to its distance from the viewer.
