Neutron structure functions [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics G: Nuclear and Particle Physics, 2008
Neutron structure functions can be extracted from proton and deuteron data and a representation of the deuteron structure. This procedure does not require DIS approximations or quark structure assumptions. We find that the results depend critically on properly accounting for the Q^2 dependence of proton and deuteron data.

Spin structure functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
We review the study of the internal spin structure of the proton and neutron. High-energy scattering of polarized leptons by polarized protons, neutrons, and deuterons provides a measurement of the nucleon spin structure functions.

STRUCTURE FUNCTIONS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics A, 2009
Recent progress in the understanding of the nucleon is presented. The unpolarized structure functions are obtained with unprecedented precision from the combined H1 and ZEUS data and are used to extract proton parton distribution functions via NLO QCD fits.

Comprehensive Analysis and Biological Characterization of Venom Components from Solitary Scoliid Wasp Campsomeriella annulata annulata

open access: yesToxins, 2021
Venoms of solitary wasps are utilized for prey capture (insects and spiders), paralyzing them with a stinger injection to be offered as food for their larvae.

HERA structure functions [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of Physics at LHC 2008 — PoS(2008LHC), 2010
The H1 and ZEUS experiments have now completed their data collection and are in the process of extracting their final high precision results on the proton structure and its internal dynamics. The recent combination of the available published results from HERA I has significantly improved the knowledge of low x quark and gluon densities, which results ...

Structure functions at large x [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Structure function data together with other measurements from fixed-target deep inelastic scattering and hadron-hadron collider experiments which contribute to our knowledge of the parton density functions are reviewed.

Observable Structure Functions [PDF]

open access: yesKybernetes, 1993
Considers the concept of structure function in reliability theory. Complete lattices are considered in order to model the space of performance levels for both system and components, leading to a general concept of structure function. Measurability with respect to the associate order topology is also assumed.

The Cluster Structure Function

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, 2023
For each partition of a data set into a given number of parts there is a partition such that every part is as much as possible a good model (an "algorithmic sufficient statistic") for the data in that part. Since this can be done for every number between one and the number of data, the result is a function, the cluster structure function.

Structure Functions are not Parton Probabilities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
The common view that structure functions measured in deep inelastic lepton scattering are determined by the probability of finding quarks and gluons in the target is not correct in gauge theory.
