Flavor symmetries and the topology of special Kähler structures at rank 1

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We propose a method for determining the flavor charge lattice of the continuous flavor symmetry of rank-1 4d N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 superconformal field theories (SCFTs) and IR free gauge theories from topological invariants of the special Kähler ...

An equational theory for σ -complete orthomodular lattices

open access: yes, 2020
The condition of σ-completeness related to orthomodular lattices places an important role in the study of quantum probability theory. In the framework of algebras with infinitary operations, an equational theory for the category of σ-complete ...

On the construction of t-norms (t-conorms) by using interior (closure) operator on bounded lattices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
summary:Recently, the topic of construction methods for triangular norms (triangular conorms), uninorms, nullnorms, etc. has been studied widely. In this paper, we propose construction methods for triangular norms (t-norms) and triangular conorms (t ...

Constructions A of lattices from number fields and division algebras

open access: yes, 2014
There is a rich theory of relations between lattices and linear codes over finite fields. However, this theory has been developed mostly with lattice codes for the Gaussian channel in mind. In particular, different versions of what is called Construction

Electronic Structure and Phonon Thermodynamics of Iron Alloys [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Inelastic neutron scattering (INS) and nuclear-resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (NRIXS) were used to measure phonon spectra of FeV as a B2- ordered compound and as a bcc solid solution.

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Shuffling lattices [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
C. Greene (J. Combin. Theory Ser. A 47 (1988), 126-131) studied a family of lattices denoted m,n. In this paper, we generalize his work by defining a new operation on ordered pairs of lattices called shuffling. L1 shuffle L2 is denoted by L1 [bowtie] L2.

Space-Efficient Data Structures for Lattices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
A lattice is a partially-ordered set in which every pair of elements has a unique meet (greatest lower bound) and join (least upper bound). We present new data structures for lattices that are simple, efficient, and nearly optimal in terms of space ...

Finite temperature phase transition in a cross-dimensional triangular lattice

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2019
Atomic many-body phase transitions and quantum criticality have recently attracted much attention in non-standard optical lattices. Here we perform an experimental study of finite temperature superfluid transition of bosonic atoms confined in a three ...
