A Sign to Heaven: aVR Lead Elevation and Myocardial Infarction
Isolated ST‐segment elevation only in the aVR lead, reflecting an acute myocardial infarction due to a left main coronary artery occlusion, was ignored as part of physicians′ training in emergency medicine for a long time. The recognition of aVR lead elevation is becoming more accepted as a mandatory diagnostic tool, in particular for physicians ...

Aim: To assess endothelial progenitor cells (EPC) counts, a novel prognostic marker, in relation to classical adverse outcome predictors–N‐terminal pro–B‐type natriuretic peptide (NT‐proBNP), impaired left ventricular (LV) relaxation and exercise‐induced ischemia–in stable coronary artery disease (CAD) with preserved LV systolic function.

Systemic Inflammation and Reperfusion Injury in Patients With Acute Myocardial Infarction
Despite early recanalization of an occluded infarct artery, tissue reperfusion remains impaired in more than one‐third of the acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients owing to a process of reperfusion injury. The role of systemic inflammation in triggering this phenomenon is unknown.

Study on effect of salinity level of water on electrocardiogram and some of blood serum minerals in grass carp, Ctenopharyngodon idella [PDF]
In this study the effects of salinityon the electrocardiogram and some of blood serumminerals in grass carp were investigated. For this purpose, grass carp were exposed toconcentrations of 4, 8 and 12 g L-1salinities and electrocardiogram of all fish was
