The effect of perinatal interventions on parent anxiety, infant socio-emotional development and parent-infant relationship outcomes: A systematic review. [PDF]

open access: yesJCPP Adv, 2022
Abstract Background Infants of parents with perinatal anxiety are at elevated likelihood of experiencing disruption in the parent‐infant relationship, as well as difficulties with socio‐emotional functioning in later development. Interventions delivered in the perinatal period have the potential to protect the early dyadic relationship and support ...

Barriers and enablers to caregivers' responsive feeding behaviour: A systematic review to inform childhood obesity prevention

open access: yesObesity Reviews, Volume 22, Issue 7, July 2021., 2021
Summary Responsive infant feeding is a critical component of childhood obesity prevention. However, there is little guidance for caregivers on how to do this successfully. The first step to developing an intervention to promote responsive feeding is to systematically identify its barriers and enablers.

Iterative Algorithms for Deblurring of Images in Case of Electrical Capacitance Tomography

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, Volume 2021, Issue 1, 2021., 2021
Electrical capacitance tomography (ECT) has been used to measure flow by applying gas‐solid flow in coal gasification, pharmaceutical, and other industries. ECT is also used for creating images of physically confined objects. The data collected by the acquisition system to produce images undergo blurring because of ambient conditions and the electronic

Three‐Dimensional Finite Difference Analysis on the Ground‐Sequential Tunneling‐Superstructure Interaction

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, Volume 2021, Issue 1, 2021., 2021
In this paper, a three‐dimensional finite difference analysis is presented to investigate the interactive effects of sequential tunneling and the superstructure on the settlement profile of the ground. To simulate the practical sequential tunneling procedure, tunnel excavation is conducted in a step‐by‐step framework; tunnel excavation starts from the ...

Accounting for differences in costs among sampling locations in optimal stratification

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Soil Science, Volume 70, Issue 1, Page 200-212, January 2019., 2019
Summary In areas with marked differences in accessibility, the cost efficiency of design‐based sampling strategies for estimating the population mean or total can be increased by accounting for these differences in the selection of the sampling locations. This can be achieved by stratified random sampling.

ILS Heuristics for the Single‐Machine Scheduling Problem with Sequence‐Dependent Family Setup Times to Minimize Total Tardiness

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, Volume 2016, Issue 1, 2016., 2016
This paper addresses a single‐machine scheduling problem with sequence‐dependent family setup times. In this problem the jobs are classified into families according to their similarity characteristics. Setup times are required on each occasion when the machine switches from processing jobs in one family to jobs in another family.

Strain US Elastography for the Characterization of Thyroid Nodules: Advantages and Limitation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Endocrinology, Volume 2015, Issue 1, 2015., 2015
Thyroid nodules, with their high prevalence in the general population, represent a diagnostic challenge for clinicians. Ultrasound (US), although absolutely reliable in detecting thyroid nodules, is still not accurate enough to differentiate them into benign and malignant.

Generation of a High‐Precision Whole Liver Panorama and Cross‐Scale 3D Pathological Analysis for Hepatic Fibrosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 19, May 22, 2025.
Using the MOSTtechnology and whole‐liver Nissl staining method, a multi‐structural 3D pathological panorama of liver fibrosis is obtained. The damaged sinusoids, steatotic hepatocytes, and collagen deposition are all concentrated in pericentral areas.
