Compact STXM: Development and Application for Magnetic Materials

2016 International Conference of Asian Union of Magnetics Societies (ICAUMS), 2016
Spectroscopy using synchrotron X-rays has been played an important roll in understanding magnetic materials, since the method provides element-specific information of electronic properties and magnetism. Spatially resolved soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy has been realized as scanning transmission X-ray microscopy (STXM) [1].

In situ STXM investigations of pentacene-based OFETs during operation

Journal of Materials Chemistry, 2010
Ultrathin pentacene-based organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) on commercially available silicon nitride membranes suitable for transmission X-ray experiments are demonstrated. The devices produced by high-vacuum deposition show excellent electronic performance (µ = 0.6 cm2 V−1 s−1, Ion/off = 106).

Distribution and Speciation of Cu in the Root Border Cells of Rice by STXM Combined with NEXAFS

Bulletin of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, 2015
Root border cells (RBCs) serve plants in their initial line of defense against stress from the presence of heavy metals in the soil. In this research, light microscopy and synchrotron-based scanning transmission X-ray microscopy (STXM) combined with near edge X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy (NEXAFS) with a nanoscale spatial resolution were

Combined near-field STXM with cylindrical collimator and AFM

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2000
The SNXM [1] was first installed at the European Synchrotron Research Facility in November 1998. It has been designed for water-window operation at a spatial resolution of about 10 nm and in its final form will comprise a Zone Plate focusing X-ray onto a cylindrical collimator 10–20 nm in diameter, made by drilling an AFM tip, with its exist aperture ...

Scanning transmission x-ray microscopy (STXM) of plutonium oxide

Journal of Vacuum Science & Technology A
Scanning transmission x-ray microscopy was used to examine plutonium oxide particles formed by the corrosion of δ-phase plutonium alloy under high-humidity conditions. O K-edge spectra collected from eight distinct particles displayed significant spectral differences, revealing heterogeneity in oxidation states within a single sample batch.
