Oleanane Saponins from Stylosanthes erecta
Journal of Natural Products, 2007Five new oleanane saponins (1-5) together with four know flavonol glycosides were isolated from the aerial parts of Stylosanthes erecta. Their structures were elucidated by 1D and 2D NMR experiments including 1D-TOCSY, DQF-COSY, ROESY, HSQC, and HMBC spectroscopy, as well as ESIMS analysis.

Germination and vigour in stored seed of Stylosanthes hamata and Stylosanthes scabra
2003Levels of germinable, hard and dead seeds in locally harvested samples of Stylosanthes hamata and Stylosanthes scabra were determined in laboratory experiments at Dharwad, India, and a Seed Vigour Index (based on seedling measurements and germination) was calculated.

Anthracnose problems with Stylosanthes
1986Colletotrichum gleosporioides is the major pathogen responsible for the serious anthracnose diseases of Stylosanthes species. Dry matter losses to anthracnose have been estimated at 64-100% in Colombia with S. guianensis, 26-58% in Florida with S. hamata and 53% in Australia with S. humilis.
