Adjoint representations for SU(2), su(2) and sl(2)
This work, presents four kinds of adjoint representations for the special unitary matrix Lie group SU(2) and the special unitary, special linear matrix Lie algebras su(2) and sl(2).

A new restriction of fermion quantum numbers in gauge theories is derived. For instance, it is shown that an SU(2) gauge theory with an odd number of left-handed fermion doublets (and no other representations) is mathematically inconsistent.

Digitising SU(2) gauge fields and the freezing transition [PDF]
Efficient discretisations of gauge groups are crucial with the long term perspective of using tensor networks or quantum computers for lattice gauge theory simulations. For any Lie group other than U(1), however, there is no class of asymptotically dense

SU(2) lattice gauge theory on a quantum annealer [PDF]
Lattice gauge theory is an essential tool for strongly interacting non-Abelian fields, such as those in quantum chromodynamics where lattice results have been of central importance for several decades.

On spherical functions on the group SU(2) × SU(2) × SU(2) [PDF]
We consider the group G:= SU(2) × ... × SU(2) (l factors), where SU(2) is the group of unitary 2 × 2 matrices with unit determinant. Let K ≃ SU(2) be the diagonal subgroup of G. We obtain the generating function of all K-spherical functions on G.

Seepage analysis based on weak finite element method
In the design and operation management of hydraulic structures such as dams, gates and embankments, the seepage calculation plays a very important role. The current methods for seepage analysis are mainly based on the general finite element method. It is

Minimal supersymmetric SU(4)×SU(2)L×SU(2)R [PDF]
We present a minimal string-inspired supersymmetric SU(4)×SU(2)L×SU(2)R model, and provide a detailed analysis of the symmetry breaking potential in this model, based on a generalisation of that recently proposed by Dvali, Lazarides and Shafi. The model contains a global U(1) R-symmetry and reduces to the MSSM at low energies.

Rays, waves, SU(2) symmetry and geometry: toolkits for structured light
Structured light refers to the ability to tailor optical patterns in all its degrees of freedom, from conventional 2D transverse patterns to exotic forms of 3D, 4D, and even higher-dimensional modes of light, which break fundamental paradigms and open ...

Rate-dependent experimental study on unsaturated coarse-grained soil controlled by matrix suction
To study the time-dependent deformation characteristics of high-fill subgrade in mountainous areas, the water-retention characteristics of coarse filler and a series of rate-dependent mechanical properties tests under constant suction are carried out for
