A Fractionally Asymmetric Sub–Nyquist Baseband Receiver Design and Implementation for Phase Modulated Signals

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
Sub–Nyquist sampling is a technique which has various applications in signal processing and communication technologies. Memory relaxation, peripherals operating at relatively lower speeds, and consequently low–power consumption designs are ...

Wideband spectrum sensing based on advanced sub-Nyquist sampling structure

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2022
As the bandwidth increases, the high-speed sampling rate becomes the bottleneck for the development of wideband spectrum sensing. Wideband spectrum sensing with sub-Nyquist sampling attracts more attention and modulated wideband converter (MWC) is an ...

A hardware prototype of sub‐Nyquist radar with unknown pulses

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2021
In a conventional radar system, the hardware cost increases with the sampling rate of the receiver. Sub‐Nyquist radar systems operate at lower sampling rates and hence reduce the hardware cost and complexity. A sub‐Nyquist radar system uses the knowledge

Sub-Nyquist Sampling in Shift-Invariant Spaces

open access: yes2020 28th European Signal Processing Conference (EUSIPCO), 2021
We introduce a novel framework for acquisition of analog signals by combining compressive sensing (CS) and the shift-invariant (SI) reconstruction procedure. We reinterpret the random demodulator as a system that acquires a linear combination of the samples in the conventional SI setting with the box function as the sampling kernel.

Wideband spectrum sensing based on modulated wideband converter with nested array

open access: yesIET Communications, 2021
Several spectrum sensing systems based on sub‐Nyquist sampling have been extensively studied to deal with difficulties of traditional wideband spectrum sensing in cognitive radio (CR) networks.

Channel Capacity Under Sub-Nyquist Nonuniform Sampling [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2014
This paper investigates the effect of sub-Nyquist sampling upon the capacity of an analog channel. The channel is assumed to be a linear time-invariant Gaussian channel, where perfect channel knowledge is available at both the transmitter and the receiver.

Employing Hybrid sub-Nyquist Sampling Rates to Support Heterogeneous Services of Varying Capacity in 25-Gbps DDM-OFDM-PON

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2018
Delay-division-multiplexing (DDM) involves the use of signal preprocessing for the detection of data via sub-Nyquist analog-to-digital sampling, based on preallocated relative sampling delays among optical network users (ONUs) in an orthogonal frequency ...
