Speed-enhanced scattering compensation method with sub-Nyquist sampling

Optics Letters
A rapid feedback-based scattering compensation method is particularly important for guiding light precisely within turbid tissues, especially the dynamic tissues. However, the huge number of measurements that come from the underutilization of the signal frequency channel greatly limits the modulation speed.

Active spectrum sensing with sequential sub-Nyquist sampling

2017 51st Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems, and Computers, 2017
In this paper we propose a new receiver architecture for optimum active sequential sensing via sub-Nyquist sampling. The sensing strategy we propose is formulated as a sequential utility optimization problem, where the chosen utility functions strikes the desired balance between exploration and exploitation, typical in most spectrum sensing problem. A Sub-Nyquist, Variable Sampling, High-Frequency Phased Array Beamformer

IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control, 2017
A digital receive beamformer implementing a "one sample per pixel" variable sampling technique is described. The sampling method reduces the required sampling rates by a factor of 3, and reduces the data capture rate by a factor of 2, in comparison with the previous systems based on variable sampling.

The algorithms of sub-Nyquist sampling on TV

Proceedings. IEEE Energy and Information Technologies in the Southeast', 2003
A component color TV signal called the TCM signal is proposed, and an algorithm of subsampling on the TCM signal is described. Results both from computer simulation and hardware display show that the picture quality of this method is satisfactory. A 3-D subsampling algorithm is proposed.

Wideband Spectrum Sensing Based on Sub-Nyquist Sampling

IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2013
In this paper, we consider the problem of locating multiple active spectrum subbands in a wide range of frequency bands. A major challenge associated with such wideband spectrum sensing is that it is either infeasible or too expensive to perform Nyquist sampling on the wideband signal.
