Simulating subatomic physics on a quantum frequency processor
Photonics for Quantum Workshop 2019, 2021Photonics is at the forefront of quantum computing and simulations. It enabled a host of pioneering demonstrations of the variational quantum eigensolver (VQE) algorithm, of molecular vibronic spectra and dynamics simulations, and of experimental Hamiltonian learning.

Lorentz- and CPT-symmetry studies in subatomic physics
Hyperfine Interactions, 2016Subatomic systems provide an exquisite test bench for spacetime symmetries. This work motivates such measurements, reviews the effective field theory test framework for the description of Lorentz and CPT violation, and employs this framework to study the phenomenology of spacetime-symmetry breaking in various subatomic systems.

A New World of Subatomic Particles: A Summary of the Physics
2020In order to appreciate the work on physics that was being carried out at USP by the mid-20th century, as well as Jayme Tiomno’s interests and research, both in Sao Paulo and later on in Princeton, it is helpful to have an overview of the developments that led up to the forefront of physical research in his time in the late 1940s.
