RELAP5 investigation on subchannel flow instability
Kerntechnik, 2016Abstract Two-phase flow instability is a vitally important area of study for a large number of industrial systems. Density Wave Oscillation (DWO) is the most common type of flow instability caused by the change in flow rate or power in boiling systems.

Subchannel Assignment for SWIPT-NOMA based HetNet with Imperfect Channel State Information
2019 15th International Wireless Communications & Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC), 2019Energy management of mobile devices is a crucial issue in fifth generation (5G) network due to their limited battery capacity. Simultaneous Wireless Information and Power Transfer (SWIPT) is an emerging technique which allows mobile devices to harvest ...

IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2019
In underlay device-to-device (D2D) communication, assigning more D2D pairs to a subchannel can increase the spectral efficiency but it also increases the inter-D2D interference and causes interference to the cellular users (CUs).

The Japanese Utilities’ Expectations for Subchannel Analysis
Nuclear Technology, 1995Boiling water reactor (BWR) utilities in Japan began to consider the development of a mechanistic model to describe the critical heat transfer conditions in the BWR fuel subchannel. Such a mechanistic model will not only decrease the necessity of tests, but will also help by removing some overly conservative safety margins in thermal hydraulics.

Multicarrier equalization by subchannel SINR maximization
The Second International Conference on Communications and Networking, 20101 In multicarrier (MC) communication receivers, the use of a time-domain equalizer (TEQ) mitigates inter-symbol and inter-carrier interferences by shortening the overall channel delay spread. Nevertheless, the TEQ-based MC-receiver structure does not result in optimal bit rate and if one wants to optimize the bit rate a nonlinear cost function has to ...

Multi-Subchannel Spread Spectrum Modulation
MILCOM 1982 - IEEE Military Communications Conference - Progress in Spread Spectrum Communications, 1982A new spread spectrum technique called Multi-Subchannel Spread Spectrum Modulation (MSCSSM) is proposed. The system basically consists of the superposition of M different direct sequence (DS) spread spectrum systems having different carrier frequencies.

Joint Subchannel and Power Allocation in Secure Transmission Design for Femtocell Networks
IEEE Systems Journal, 2018In this paper, a joint subchannel and power allocation problem is investigated for a downlink two-tier femtocell network system, where there exists an eavesdropper wiretapping a legitimate macrocell user equipment.

Subchannel analysis in BWR fuel bundles
Annals of Nuclear Energy, 1985Abstract Steady-state two-phase-flow calculations have been performed with the multidimensional drift-flux code canal . Flow-regime-dependent drift-flux parameters have been used to evaluate the flow quantities in the subchannels. Consistent modeling of the mixing components, e.g.

Subchannel modeling of single rod bowing in a bundle geometry
Nuclear Engineering and Design, 2018During operation of a nuclear power plant, nuclear fuel assemblies in a reactor core are in strong temperature and radiation fields. With fuel burnup and the presence of thermo-mechanical stresses, gaps between fuel assemblies start to increase, leading ...

Numerical method improvement for a subchannel code
Kerntechnik, 2016Abstract Previous studies showed that the subchannel codes need most CPU time to solve the matrix formed by the conservation equations. Traditional matrix solving method such as Gaussian elimination method and Gaussian-Seidel iteration method cannot meet the requirement of the computational efficiency.
