Computational analysis to assess hemodynamic forces in descending thoracic aortic aneurysms

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Left: Pre‐processing. First, we perform the segmentation of the Computer Tomography angiorgraphy (angio‐CT) scans of a healthy patient, obtaining the surface of a healthy thoracic aorta with a Type III aortic arch. Then, we build nine ideal configurations with Descending Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm (DTAA), varying the aortic arch ...

Isolation of left subclavian artery with reversal of neurological and hemodynamic abnormalities after percutaneous closure

open access: yesIndian Heart Journal, 2014
Isolation of left subclavian artery is a rare congenital anomaly. In this abnormality, the left subclavian artery arises from the homo-lateral pulmonary artery rather than from aorta.

Senescent Cell Derived Artificial Vesicle‐Based Senolytic Sonovaccine Platform with Augmented Lymph Node Delivery and Antigen Cross‐Presentation Efficacy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 46, 17 August 2026.
A senolytic sonovaccine platform (SenoVac) is developed, in which senescent cell‐derived vesicles serve as broad senescent cell antigen reservior. The “2‐step” click chemistry strategy for effective lymph node delivery, and ultrasound‐triggered endosomal escape to boost cross‐presentation, ensures efficient senescent cell clearance and disease ...

Double Axillary Vein During Axillary Lymph Node Dissection for Breast Cancer

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Clinical significance of Double axillary vein is often minimal; however, it can be of concern in surgical procedures, particularly those involving axillary dissection. Injury to one of the veins could lead to severe bleeding or venous congestion, complicating the surgical outcome. Therefore, surgeons should be aware of this variation.

Feasibility and Safety of Median Sternotomy Combined With Hemi‐Clamshell Incisions for the Resection of Extremely Large Tumors in the Thoracic Cavity: A Case Series

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT To evaluate the feasibility and safety of median sternotomy combined with hemi‐clamshell thoracotomy for resection of extremely large intrathoracic tumors. The perioperative data of three patients with large tumors in the thoracic cavity from January 2021 to December 2024 were collected and analyzed retrospectively, and median sternotomy ...

Successful Repositioning of a Tunneled Cuffed Catheter Misplaced Into the Ascending Lumbar Vein

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT A tunneled cuffed catheter was misplaced into the ascending lumbar vein. Fortunately, the catheter tip was withdrawn and successfully repositioned into the inferior vena cava under fluoroscopy.

Pseudoaneurysm at the origin of the vertebral artery, iatrogenic damage to the vessel in a patient with multiple diseases: a case report

open access: yesActa Angiologica
INTRODUCTION: Iatrogenic injury is one of several potential injuries to the subclavian artery, often caused by complicated central venous catheterization. Endovascular intervention is the primary treatment option in such cases.

Feasibility of Imaging the Uvula at the Midtrimester Anomaly Ultrasound

open access: yesJournal of Ultrasound in Medicine, Volume 45, Issue 8, Page 1707-1714, August 2026.
Objectives The fetal palate is not routinely imaged as part of the midtrimester fetal anomaly ultrasound, despite being associated with many syndromes. The “equal sign” depicts the lateral borders of the uvula on 2‐dimensional fetal ultrasound. We assessed the feasibility of adding the equal sign to the midtrimester fetal anomaly ultrasound.
