Experimental Factors and Techniques for Pool Boiling Heat Transfer Enhancement: A Critical Review
ABSTRACT This review presents a comprehensive assessment of active strategies for enhancing pool boiling heat transfer, with a focus on techniques that do not rely solely on the boiling surface modification. It examines a broad range of methodologies including fluid additives, external fields, mechanical interventions, and thermal‐geometric tuning that

Seismo‐Acoustic Evidence for Meteoric Water Modulation of Hydrothermal Fluid Discharge
Abstract Deciphering the signal of external processes on active hydrothermal dynamics represents a critical challenge in understanding volcanic unrest. At the Pisciarelli hydrothermal site, located within the densely populated Campi Flegrei caldera (Italy), we investigate the role of meteoric water influx in modulating shallow hydrothermal fluid ...

A model has been developed and validated with data from the sugar industry to determine the evaporation rate of discontinuous evaporating crystallizers. The results indicate that vapor nucleation on the surface of sucrose crystals is a significant factor, particularly in the context of low temperature differences in the calandria.

Effect of inlet subcooling on flow boiling in microchannels
Abstract The paper describes experimental work to assess the effect of inlet subcooling on the flow boiling characteristics of HFE-7200 in a multi-microchannel heat sink. The experiments were performed at a mass flux of 200 kg/m2 s and system pressure of 1 bar for inlet subcooling conditions of 5 K, 10 K and 20 K and wall heat flux between 25.9 and ...

Modeling and Optimization of the Immersion Evaporative Cooling Lithium‐Ion Battery System
This paper focuses on the coupling mechanism, performance, and optimization of the immersion evaporative cooling lithium‐ion battery system (IECLBS). A novel dynamic coupling model is established based on the whole heat transfer path. We investigated the coupling mechanism of IECLBS by examining changes in the relevant parameters.
