Weakly Regular Subdivisions [PDF]
A finite subset \(A\) of \(\mathbb R^d\) whose affine hull has full dimension is called a \(d\)-dimensional point configuration. A collection of subsets of \(A\) whose convex hulls form a polyhedral complex is called a polyhedral subdivision of \(A\).

High‐temperature interactions between low‐sulfur Al‐killed Mn–B steel and MgO–C refractories (0 and 50 wt% recyclates) are studied via finger immersion tests (1600 °C). Surface‐active elements influence infiltration. MgO/CaS layer forms, along with spinel and calcium silicate.

Nanoindentation Criteria for Combinatorial Thin Film Libraries
Thin‐film material libraries are compositional spreads used for screening composition‐structure‐property relationships. Nanoindentation is often used to characterize mechanical behavior across these systems, however variations in methodology are widespread.

The Family of Multiparameter Quaternary Subdivision Schemes
In the field of subdivision, the smoothness increases as the arity of schemes increases. The family of high arity schemes gives high smoothness comparative to low arity schemes.

Domination Subdivision Numbers
A set \(S\) of vertices of a graph \(G\) is a dominating set if every vertex of \(V(G)-S\) is adjacent to some vertex in \(S\). The domination number \(\gamma(G)\) is the minimum cardinality of a dominating set of \(G\), and the domination subdivision number \(\text{sd}_{\gamma}(G)\) is the minimum number of edges that must be subdivided (each edge in \

Four‐point bending tests are conducted in an argon atmosphere on commercial MgO‐C brick grades with and without MgO‐C recyclate from room temperature up to 1300 °C. No detrimental effect of the MgO‐C recyclates on bending strength is found. Instead, a decisive influence of the total carbon content is observed, with lower total carbon contents ...

A combined finite element and phase‐field approach predicts the evolution of microstructure during the directional solidification of Ni‐based superalloys. The model reveals how withdrawal rate, temperature gradient, and wall thickness control the dendrite spacing, highlighting the strong effect of surface regions in thin sections where dendrite growth ...

Entropy and Information Approaches to Genetic Diversity and its Expression: Genomic Geography
This article highlights advantages of entropy-based genetic diversity measures, at levels from gene expression to landscapes. Shannon’s entropy-based diversity is the standard for ecological communities.
