Exercise-Induced Acute Spinal Subdural Hematoma: A Case Report
A 63-year-old woman developed acute back pain and sciatica after playing hula-hoop. Urinary incontinence was also noted. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed acute thoracolumbar spinal subdural hematoma.

Robust Unsupervised Transient Detection With Invariant Representation based on the Scattering Network [PDF]
We present a sparse and invariant representation with low asymptotic complexity for robust unsupervised transient and onset zone detection in noisy environments. This unsupervised approach is based on wavelet transforms and leverages the scattering network from Mallat et al. by deriving frequency invariance.

NeoCast is a next‐generation, solvent‐free, non‐adhesive liquid embolic designed for indications where deep occlusion is desired (e.g., tumors and chronic subdural hematoma). This novel agent offers ideal embolic properties: injectability, controllability, excellent visibility, and biocompatibility.

ABSTRACT Local anesthetic systemic toxicity or hematomas are speculated as reasons for hemodynamic collapse after femoral block, which can be avoided by ultrasound guidance. In case of severe hypotension despite standard precautions, local anesthetic spread towards epidural space can be suspected.

Distributed deep learning for robust multi-site segmentation of CT imaging after traumatic brain injury [PDF]
Machine learning models are becoming commonplace in the domain of medical imaging, and with these methods comes an ever-increasing need for more data. However, to preserve patient anonymity it is frequently impractical or prohibited to transfer protected health information (PHI) between institutions.

Abstract Objective Neuromodulation for pediatric refractory epilepsy (PRE) is preferred when the seizure onset zone is not amenable to surgical resection, due to multifocal onset or involvement of eloquent cortex. Given its rapidly evolving landscape, we describe our institutional experience with neurostimulation therapies including deep brain ...

Subperiosteal drainage versus subdural drainage in the management of chronic subdural hematoma (a comparative study) [PDF]
Symptomatic chronic subdural hematomas (csdh) remain one of the most frequent diagnoses in current neurosurgical practice. With the aging population especially in the well-developed and developing countries, the incidence of csdhs is expected to steadily
