Accumulation and Mixing of Oils in Jinghu Sag of Subei Basin: Constraints from Thermal Maturity Parameters

Journal of China University of Mining and Technology, 2007
Abstract Oils in Jinghu sag are abundant with high content of polar compounds and have a low ratio of saturate to aro-matic hydrocarbons and a high ratio of resin to asphaltene. The gross composition of oils in the Jinghu sag suggests typical immature to low mature characteristics. Some compounds with low thermal stability were identified.

Climatic controls on water-mass chemistry in a Paleocene lacustrine setting, Subei Basin, eastern China

Geological Society of America Bulletin
Abstract The Paleocene epoch was characterized by global climate fluctuations and major carbon-cycle perturbations. During the greenhouse climate that characterized the early Cenozoic, a short-lived late Paleocene global cooling event has been recognized from marine records. However, the response of the terrestrial system to this climate
