A study of subgingival plaque formation.
本実験の目的は, 歯周ポケット内への歯肉縁下プラークの形成のプロセスや細菌叢を検索することである。被験歯はポケットの平均が6.0mmの抜去予定の歯周炎罹患歯11歯とし, 実験開始時にフラップ手術を行ない, 根面を徹底的に清掃しプラークフリーの状態とした。被験者にはブラッシングを行なわせ, 手術後6週に抜去し, SEMを用いて観察した。その結果, 縁下プラークは縁上プラークから連続して形成され, 歯肉縁下に孤立して形成されているものはなかった。縁下プラークの根尖方向への形成程度は, 平均で隣接面の頬側0.35mm, 中央部0.67mm, 舌側0.65mmであり, 隣接面中央部と舌側は比較的大きな値を示した。縁下プラークの細菌叢は, 球菌や桿菌が主体をなし, スピロヘータはほとんど認められなかった ...
