Subject didaktik as knowledge field [Elektronisk resurs]

open access: yes, 2023
Subject didaktik as a field has contact points to (1) other educational sciences such as general didactics, pedagogy, pedagogical work and educational studies, (2) the school subject / subject area, and (3) teaching practice (e.g. Sjöström, 2018; Cramer &

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Black-end of pear: Problem is subject of extensive field and laboratory studies

open access: yesCalifornia Agriculture, 1948
Intensive investigations have been conducted in the field and in the laboratory since about 1930 regarding black-end or hard-end condition of pears and the relation of the rootstock to the incidence of the disease.

Religion and development: The rise of a bibliography

open access: yesHTS Teologiese Studies/Theological Studies, 2016
This article endeavours to evidence the extraordinary rise of religion and development as a subject field by presenting a chronological bibliography of the literature that has been published, especially since the early to mid-2000s.

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Mechanisms influencing student understanding on an outdoor guided field trip

open access: yes, 2009
textField trips are a basic and important, yet often overlooked part of the student experience. They provide the opportunity to integrate real world knowledge with classroom learning and student previous personal experiences.

A Semi-active Control Method for Structural Vibration Subject to Near-field Earthquakes

open access: yesTaiyuan Ligong Daxue xuebao
Purposes In this paper, a semi-active control method for structural vibration subject to near-field earthquakes is proposed. A neuro-fuzzy model is used to capture rate and temperature dependent nonlinear behavior of the SMA components of the hybrid ...

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Numerical simulation of rivulet evolution on a horizontal cable subject to an external aerodynamic field

open access: yes, 2010
On wet and windy days, the inclined cables of cable-stayed bridges may experience a large amplitude oscillation known as rain-wind-induced vibration (RWIV).

Applicability of mitotic figure counting by deep learning: a development and pan‐cancer validation study

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...
