Can subjective global assessment of nutritional status predict survival in ovarian cancer?
Background Malnutrition is a significant problem in patients with ovarian cancer. The goal of this study was to investigate the prognostic role of Subjective Global Assessment (SGA) in patients with ovarian cancer treated in an integrative cancer ...

Mature red blood cells (RBCs) can capture extracellular DNA, with short fragments homologous to cfDNA. This uptake is mediated by apoptotic bodies, which induce RBC oxidative stress, deformation, and accelerated in vivo clearance. The rbcDNA abundance correlates with tumor burden and therapeutic response, highlighting its potential as a liquid biopsy ...

Unpaired Learning‐Enabled Nanotube Identification from AFM Images
Identifying nanotubes on rough substrates is notoriously challenging for conventional image analysis. This work presents an unpaired deep learning approach that automatically extracts nanotube networks from atomic force microscopy images, even on complex polymeric surfaces used in roll‐to‐roll printing.

Replication and Meta-analysis of the Association between BDNF Val66Met Polymorphism and Cognitive Impairment in Patients Receiving Chemotherapy. [PDF]
Cancer-related cognitive impairment (CRCI) adversely affects cancer patients. We had previously demonstrated that the BDNF Val66Met genetic polymorphism is associated with lower odds of subjective CRCI in the multitasking and verbal ability domains among

This study reveals that actin remodeling regulates mitochondrial elongation as a defense strategy in plants. Flagellin perception induces fusion‐dependent elongation, supported by cortical actin bundles, to repair damage and boost ATP and ROS production.

Subjective global assessment of nutritional status in children.
This study was aimed to compare the subjective and objective nutritional assessments and to analyse the performance of subjective global assessment (SGA) of nutritional status in diagnosing undernutrition in paediatric patients. One hundred and forty children (aged 2-12 years) hospitalized consecutively in Tabriz Paediatric Hospital from June 2008 to ...

Intelligent Stain‐Free Histology on Structural Colorimetric Nanocavities
Chen and Gan et al. introduce a label‐free imaging platform using inexpensive Nanocavity‐on‐Silicon (NOS) slides. These slides transform subtle tissue variations into vivid structural colors, enabling high‐contrast histological imaging under a regular optical microscope. This stain‐free approach reveals morphological details comparable to traditional H&
