A Photo-transfer Thermoluminescence (PTTL) Study of TLD-100 over a Wide Dose Range

open access: yesSüleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi Fen Dergisi, 2023
Photo-transferred thermoluminescence (PTTL) is defined as the transfer of electrons from deep traps into shallow traps via optical stimulation. The importance of PTTL is that it allows for a second measurement of dose assessments for accuracy in cases ...

Absolute instabilities of travelling wave solutions in a Keller-Segel model

open access: yes, 2016
We investigate the spectral stability of travelling wave solutions in a Keller-Segel model of bacterial chemotaxis with a logarithmic chemosensitivity function and a constant, sublinear, and linear consumption rate. Linearising around the travelling wave

A Variational Approach for the Neumann Problem in Some FLRW Spacetimes

open access: yesAdvanced Nonlinear Studies, 2019
In this paper, we study, using critical point theory for strongly indefinite functionals, the Neumann problem associated to some prescribed mean curvature problems in a FLRW spacetime with one spatial dimension.

Caputo fractional approximation by sublinear operators

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory, 2018
Here we consider the approximation of functions by sublinear positive operators with applications to a big variety of Max-Product operators under Caputo fractional differentiability. Our study is based on our general fractional results about positive

Non-Fermi liquid behavior in the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model for a one-dimensional incoherent semimetal

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2022
We study a two-band dispersive Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) model in 1+1 dimension. We suggest a model that describes a semimetal with quadratic dispersion at half filling.

Trap‐Assisted Transport and Neuromorphic Plasticity in Lead‐Free 2D Perovskites PEA2SnI4

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An artificial retina built from lead‐free layered perovskite (PEA)2SnI4 converts light input into a persistent photocurrent and sums successive flashes over time. Micro/nanocrystals integrated on electrodes act as synapse‐like pixels that perform temporal integration directly in hardware. This in‐sensor preprocessing merges detection and computation on

Imperfection in Semiconductors Leading to High Performance Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Crystalline perfection is typically pursued in semiconductors to enhance device performance. However, through modeling and experimental work, we show that defects can be strategically employed in a specific detection regime to increase sensitivity to extreme values. GaN diodes are demonstrated to effectively detect high‐energy proton beams at fluxes as

Sublinear Higson corona and Lipschitz extensions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The purpose of the paper is to characterize the dimension of sublinear Higson corona $\nu_L(X)$ of $X$ in terms of Lipschitz extensions of functions: Theorem: Suppose $(X,d)$ is a proper metric space. The dimension of the sublinear Higson corona $\nu_L(

Sublinear-Time Algorithms for Monomer-Dimer Systems on Bounded Degree Graphs

open access: yes, 2013
For a graph $G$, let $Z(G,\lambda)$ be the partition function of the monomer-dimer system defined by $\sum_k m_k(G)\lambda^k$, where $m_k(G)$ is the number of matchings of size $k$ in $G$. We consider graphs of bounded degree and develop a sublinear-time

Wafer‐Scale Room‐Temperature Processing of Lead‐Free Perovskites for Optoelectronic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present the first wafer‐scale, room‐temperature synthesis of lead‐free Cs3Sb2X9 (X = Br, I) perovskite films via solvent‐free magnetron sputtering. The resulting high‐performance photodetectors achieve benchmark responsivity, bandwidth, and detectivity, enabling scalable manufacturing for next‐generation optoelectronics.
