Two weight estimates for a class of (p, q) type sublinear operators and their commutators

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2019
In the present paper, the authors investigate the two weight, weak-(p, q) type norm inequalities for a class of sublinear operators 𝓣γ and their commutators [b, 𝓣γ] on weighted Morrey and Amalgam spaces.

A Sparse Estimate for Multisublinear Forms Involving Vector-valued Maximal Functions

open access: yesBruno Pini Mathematical Analysis Seminar, 2017
We prove a sparse bound for the m-sublinear form associated to vector-valued maximal functions of Fefferman-Stein type. As a consequence, we show that the sparse bounds of multisublinear operators are preserved via ℓr-valued extension.

Block scheduling in practice: An optimal decomposition strategy for nonidentical operating rooms

open access: yesDecision Sciences, EarlyView.
Abstract We develop and implement a Master Surgery Schedule for a real‐life hospital, assigning operating room (OR) time to surgical specialties over a multi‐week horizon. Through action research, we identify a critical operational challenge: the issue of split blocks. Split blocks allow two specialties to share an OR on the same day—one in the morning,

A Novel Peak‐Shape Aware Approach for Mass Alignment in Mass Spectrometry

open access: yesRapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, Volume 40, Issue 4, 28 February 2026.
ABSTRACT Rationale In mass spectrometry measurements, mass shifts may be inadvertently introduced due to instrumental drift and calibration inaccuracies, potentially compromising the accuracy of subsequent data analysis. This work presents a novel, label‐free algorithm to improve relative mass alignment between mass spectra.

Solar‐Blind Ultraviolet Photodetectors Based on Two‐Dimensional Materials and Their Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 5, Issue 2, February 2026.
Solar‐blind ultraviolet photodetectors are crucial for diverse applications. This review comprehensively summarizes recent advances using two‐dimensional materials and their heterostructures, which offer tunable bandgaps, flexibility, and no lattice‐matching constraints.

Boundedness of Some Commutators in Total Fofana Spaces

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Mathematical Analysis
In this paper, we find necessary and sufficient conditions for the boundedness of the commutator of the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator in total Fofana spaces.

Seismic Structural Response and Loss Estimation for Dense Urban Districts Using Neural Network Parameterized Gaussian Process

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, Volume 55, Issue 2, Page 397-412, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Earthquakes pose a major threat to urban areas, causing fatalities, injuries, and significant economic losses. This study proposes a Gaussian process parametrized by deep neural networks (DNN–GP) as an efficient surrogate for assessing seismic losses of building structures at a regional scale.

Boundedness of Sublinear Operators and Commutators on Generalized Morrey Spaces

open access: yesIntegral Equations and Operator Theory, 2011
Suppose that \(T\) represents a linear or sublinear operator which satisfies that for any \(f\in L_1(\mathbb{R}^n)\) with compact support and \(x\) not in the support of \( f\) \[ |Tf(x)|\leq c_0\int_{\mathbb{R}^n}\frac{|f(y)|}{|x-y|^n}dy. \] Similarly, assume that \(T_\alpha,\) \(\alpha\in (0,n)\), represents a linear or sublinear operator which ...

Gradual pollen release in a buzz‐pollinated plant: Investigating pollen presentation theory under bee visitation

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, Volume 40, Issue 2, Page 476-485, February 2026.
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract The rate at which flowers dispense pollen across successive pollinator visits is a key functional trait influencing male reproductive success. Pollen presentation theory (PPT) predicts that when pollinators are abundant and actively groom their bodies to collect pollen,
