Snapping scapholunate subluxation
The Journal of Hand Surgery, 1981Three patients were treated for snapping scapholunate subluxation in four wrists, with disabling pain in three wrists. Conventional roentgenographic techniques were not helpful in diagnosing any of these wrist problems. No complete description of the precise abnormality encountered was found in the surgical or roentgenographic literature.

Scaphoid-Trapezium-Trapezoid Subluxation
Journal of Hand Surgery, 1986A case of scaphoid-trapezium-trapezoid subluxation (STTS) is presented. This injury has only been described three times before. More interest in injuries to the ligaments of the wrist will probably show a greater frequency of (STTS). In cases of pain on the radial border of the wrist due to trauma and with normal routine radiographs, one would ...

Anterior subluxation of the cervical spine from flexion-rotational violence is often overlooked. Either radiography is omitted or the slight displacement visible on the films is not recognised. A method for recognising these injuries is suggested. Five cases are described showing that in these subluxations the soft-tissue damage is severe, that late ...

Real orthopaedic subluxations versus imaginary chiropractic subluxations
Focus on Alternative and Complementary Therapies, 2010AbstractThe chiropractic vertebral subluxation theory has confused the definition of the word ‘subluxation’; a common medical term. Unlike the mysterious, undetectable chiropractic ‘vertebral subluxation complex’ alleged to be a cause of disease, a real vertebral subluxation can be a cause of mechanical and neuromusculoskeletal symptoms, but has never ...

Equine Talocalcaneal subluxation
Journal of Equine Veterinary ScienceA Quarter horse filly was evaluated for a two-week old wound of the right hind cannon bone after the mare stepped on her. A sequestrum was noted radiographically and was surgically debrided. After continued follow-up a left hind varus deformity was noted and was corrected with a lateral transphyseal screw in the distal left tibia.
